Musty smell throughout the house. Towels were not fresh. Pest control must have just recently came out because there were dying bugs everywhere. This was spring break so we l could have been the first people this season but thy definitely could have left fresh towels and exterminated prior. I booked 11 days in advance.

Very clean, quiet and private. Kitchen well equipped. Really appreciated the small fenced area for my dog. The beach is just a minute walk away. Will be my go to on Bollivar.

Beautiful/Comfortable home and great view!

The home is in a great location, only a few min walk or 1 minute drive to the beach. The house was very nice and clean and had a lot of nice beach amenities as well that were appreciated. The host was so nice and communicated extremely well, also very accommodating. Had everything and more needed in the home for us to use. Definitely recommend.

This a great place for a small group to get away. Close to the beach and corner store that has everything you would need. Great wrap around balcony. Very clean and air conditioner works great. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Lovely part of peninsula

Really enjoyed the community and beach access at this property. The home was comfortable and our two small dogs were entertained by all to watch from the deck. If you don't want all of the hubbub of the main island and trekking around Galveston, this is a wonderful venue. While the fenced in yard was small for the dogs, it was adequate for a quick trip for "business." They loved walking in the neighborhood and on the beach. All the basics were available in the home. We were glad we brought our own grilling utensils though. We'd stay here again.

Perfect weekend Get-A-Way

My husband and I came down to Crystal Beach from DFW - he had never been and I hadn’t been since before Ike. The home had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the front porch the best. The sounds of the waves are mesmerizing! Saturday was a very busy day at the beach and lots of cars come to enter the beach in this neighborhood. Aubrey was great to work with and very responsive. I read other comments before booking about the construction next door - it is not bad at all. There is still an incredible view from the house. We ate dinner at Stingaree and crawfish for lunch at Nauti Beaver Hut. You gotta try these two restaurants!

Nice but changing neighborhood

The house is nice and the property manager (Aubrey) was quick to respond to our questions. The house is about 5th row from the beach with direct beach access down the street. We got to experience an amazing thing a couple of nights. Occasionally this time of year if the temperature, wind and tide conditions are right, the algae in the water will glow (bioluminescent) at night as the waves crash ashore. It was beautiful. Look up some of the google photos on it. The “feel” is changing though. There has been a big open tract of undeveloped land immediately East of the house giving a clear view of the Gulf. Now there is a HUGE building being built (45,000 sq ft) as the anchor bar/nightclub of a development called “The Zoo”. Whole empty area will soon be resort. So if you are looking for nighttime bar/entertainment you can walk to, this will be a great house. If you are looking for quiet and watching the waves from your deck, that is quickly going away.

Pelican View

Loved the accessibility to the beach, we did nice long walks each morning after getting up. Good neighborhood with restaurants and amenities close by. Everything in the house was well appointed and in good condition. It was just the two of us, so we had some additional space, would be good for a 4-5 person family. At no fault of the owner, there was construction happening nearby which might hinder the view after it's complete. Overall it was a fantastic place.

Perfect getaway!

The house was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. It was a quick 2 minute walk to the beach. The owner was very nice and was easy to get in touch with. It was perfect!!! I highly recommend this property for a small family or just a couple. Also I feel like the pictures don’t do this place justice. There is tons of natural light and the living room and kitchen are bright and open!! Much prettier than the picture show.

Great spot on Bolivar Peninsula

House was really nice and clean. It smelled clean walking in. Only a short walk to the beach. Noticed many people have dogs in the area. My pups and I really enjoyed the wrap around balcony and being able to watch the goings on. Thank you for making your home available.

Birthday Getaway

We used to own a house on Bolivar Peninsula and sold it about 3 years ago. This was our first trip to the area since we sold. The house is lovely-clean and we’ll appointed. It is centrally located and convenient to everything. We loved sitting on the deck and reading and taking the short walk to the beach. The homes in the neighborhood are nicely spaced. One of the things we had really looked forward to was the open grassland immediately to the east of the house. Unfortunately, construction has begun there. This, of course, is no fault of the owners and as of the dates we were staying there still was a distant view of the ocean But it’s over a construction site, not the pretty grasslands pictured on the website. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.
