Beautiful Cabin in a Beautiful Location

We rented this cabin for three nights and enjoyed every single one of them. The space is well equipped with everything you might ever need for a long weekend, it was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable and the views of Lake Ontario were surreal. We highly recommend booking this cabin if you’re looking for a perfect, quiet and relaxing retreat! We know we’ll certainly be back again!

Perfect location steps from the lake

An inviting clean and lovely property. Perfect for a single person, couple, or in my case traveling with a grown son where we each had our own bed to sleep on. All the comforts of home with beautiful sunsets every night (weather permitting). The host very responsive to any inquiry. We rented off season so very quiet and the year rounders very friendly. Would rent again for sure!

Location and stay was nice. I found hidden damage on couch, assuming from previous renters. When I communicated with property manage that I did not damage, but found damage and thought He should know. He put a claim in for couch on my traveler insurance without farther communication with me first.

Right on the water

It was great to see the way the lake changes day by day. Beautiful view from inside as well as out. This location requests no shoes in the house, which I would've preferred in the listing so I could've packed some house slippers. Also, as an FYI, they currently use strong detergent on their linens. It was great knowing they definitely clean everything between renters, but the scent was VERY strong, so if you are sensitive to that sort of thing you may want to bring your own sheets/blankets. Unfortunately they do not keep up with their smoke detectors, which led to both needing battery changes and interrupting sleep on two separate days. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the location for a weekend getaway or short stay.

Peace of mind

As an avid Lake Ontario fan, there is nothing I appreciate more about a relatively short get-away spot than being right at the water. This lovely “corner of the world” is just that and more. I’ve already rented there twice this season and was pleased to see that a couple of improvements I’d been told were going to be done, already had been. I can’t wait to return. Thank you. J

Relax and Refresh

We loved our Escape Cottage stay! The sight and sound of the lake was very restoring. The cottage was spotless (and I’m very picky) and well appointed. The cottage is full of light and has great views of the lake. The deck has comfortable chairs and a nice table, so we spent most of our waking hours there. We brought our bikes and found lots of scenic places to ride. We could always expect quick responses from our hosts. This is a hidden gem not to be missed.

Rainbow Shores Get-Away

The location, cleanliness, and quiet of this little place are all great. Communication with the owner was a positive. Just to sit on the porch and breathe in the waves-the best. i look forward to returning.

Excellent beach side retreat

Clean, just far enough removed from society, well priced. The only two concerns I have are the lack of good local restaurants and difficulty accessing the water. If you climb down the rocks and carefully go out into the water, it's a wonderful sandy bottom about 6 feet from the edge.

Quaint and Serene lake house!

Clean and well equipped house on Ontario Lake was just what we were looking for. We didn't expect the lake to be so close to the house. The splashing waves from the lake made falling asleep so easy. Just a great place to unwind from our busy lives. This one we hope to revisit!

Exactly what I needed

Loved the deck with table & chairs and lounge chairs. Beautiful sunsets & the tree gives some shade. Keep the grounds natural❀Nicely decorated. Kitchen supplies are well thought out. Our only complaint was the couch & bed
 not very comfortable. Please consider installing a grab bar and bath mat in tub/ shower.
