Paradise!.. at a price though…
Beautiful location! But there are some areas that need some serious TLC.. upon entering Capa Cana, you notice the level of luxury you see in movies. The area is landscaped to perfection, the community feels safe. The area we stayed is called Punta Palmera, across from the Marina. When I say TLC, I mean the level of maintenance; a lot of the ammenities were closed of.. there is a lounge area where it appears to have. A bar but it’s all dusty and closed off.. the gym, also looks like it hasn’t been maintained and it was closed off.. the picturesque view of the teal ocean is blurred by the lack of building maintenance.. a lot of broken sheet rock ceilings in the lobby.. as for the unit we stayed at: my two son’s had an immediate reaction to something in their room.. we found some mold in the corners of the bathroom.. so we had to air it out completely before cranking back the A/C on .. the soaking pool.. or picuzzi as they called it was not working .. and it had dead leaves and dirt debris in the pool so clearly not maintained.. but the walk to the beach and pool is really close. We had no hot water the first night.. and then our relaxation was interrupted due to staff members needing to work on the hot water heater..most rentals (others we stayed at) provided safe drinking water dispensers and additional 5 gallon bottles.. we had to contact the rental company to provide us with water.. it took them all day to get it to us.. for the price.. I expected more from them.
