Luxury Home in the Heart of Rockport

Gorgeous house in Rockport, steps to beach, town, train, Shalin Liu performance center! This home is located on a quiet side street, surrounded by beautiful flowers and shady trees, overlooking Mill Brook. Stroll to Front Beach in 5 minutes, or to the shops and restaurants of Bearskin Neck in less than 10 minutes. Step aboard and enjoy the home's Nautical ship theme. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen (the Galley) opens to an atrium-ceiling eating area with bar-height table and eight chairs. The living quarters feature a 50” flat-screen TV, leather couch and chairs, and a game corner with table and 6 chairs. Enjoy the built-in cabinet full of books, games and puzzles for all ages! The luxurious 3rd floor master suite - otherwise known as the Captain's Quarters - features a king bed and a spa-like bathroom with double sinks, soaking tub, and oversized shower with rain-head. Three additional bedrooms include the Admiral's quarters (1 queen), the Skipper's quarters (1 full bed with twin trundle), and the Pirate's Den, with it's stunning wall mural and set of 2 bunk beds (4 twins). Beautiful outdoor space includes 2 patios, gas grill, and outdoor games. Bonus room in the garage houses a ping-pong table, beach cart, beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys & cooler. Two and one-half bathrooms (full bath both second and third floor, half bath on first floor). Also includes washer/dryer, air-conditioning, and off-street parking for 3 cars!. Come enjoy everything Cape Ann has to offer while enjoying luxury accommodations.

Please note that the bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors of older home with steep stairs - house may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.

For the security of our guests and the safety of our home there is 1 operational security camera located on the outside of the garage facing the driveway. The camera records both visually and audibly.

This was the second time we rented the cottage from Gretchen and Gary. The house is very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The owners are fantastic, very friendly and responsive. Gary responded within minutes when I contacted them about watching the Red Sox game. Everything about this cottage is perfect from location to Front Beach, Bearskin Neck and train station. .

For my family, we could not have asked for a more perfect location for our (2025) stay in Rockport. It is tucked away on a quiet side street but an easy and pleasant walk to the beach and the main part of town. We enjoyed morning walks to get coffee and evening walks to ice cream often taking a short cut through the near by park. Having morning coffee on the patio or lying in the hammock amongst the shade of tall trees was idyllic. We made a day trip to Boston (1 h 20 min to North Station) by walking just a little over a block to the rail station. The main part of the house is historic (not sure how old) but very nicely and newly renovated. For us, some of the peculiarities of the house, such as the quirky skinny stairs, and slightly uneven wide planked wood floors was all pure New England charm. The kitchen and dining area are part of a newer addition to the home that is quality built and modern. Amenities such as quality cotton sheets and towels, beach chairs with umbrella and cart, having soap for the dishwasher and clothes washer were much appreciated.(Thank you Gretchen!) Gretchen is wonderful to interact with. We did not have any problems during our stay but she met us when we arrived and was responsive to communications and questions having many great suggestions. We will definitely be looking at this house again for our next trip to Rockport.

Perfect house and location

We had an incredible week at this property! Our family spends the week of the fourth every year on the north shore. Staying in rockport was a perfect location for us. We enjoyed walking to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The house itself was clean and comfortable, and had every amenity we could need. Each room was beautifully decorated and we all slept soundly. I would highly recommend this spot!!

Idyllic Coastal Retreat

We just enjoyed the best vacation rental ever! (And I'm particular!)The home was even better than depicted online. Extremely clean and updated yet it retained the history and character of a 19th century home which transported us fully into vacation mode. We loved the quiet neighborhood that was only a quick walk to the ocean, dinning, shops, an adorable park and every other convenience we needed during the week. The house is only a short drive to Good Harbor beach and the highway to get to other communities, but we felt very peaceful and snug in our wooded glen.Spend some time relaxing in the shady garden and admiring the colors of sunset from the awesome master suite on the third floor.The owner was responsive and very friendly. 10/10

Fabulous Rockport Getaway

We had an incredible week in this tucked away gem in Rockport. The house was immaculate and every detail has been thought through for guests. Very few rental homes provide more than a roll or two of toilet paper. Gretchen has provided linens, beach towels, beach chairs, soap, tissues and all of the basics for cooking. The home is peaceful, spacious and fully appointed. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

What a lovely home! All five of my kids had their own bed, there was plenty of space to spread out, eat, and play family games. It was so nice not to have to pack all the beach towels, boogie boards, and beach stuff because it was already there! The walk to front beach was easy and the town of Rockport was so cute and the perfect place for a family stay full of adventure!
