HORRIBLE:
Due to an unacceptable stay and lack of service I checked out early and was refused a refund. The staff was not helpful and dismissive. There were also police officers onsite due to problems at the hotel.
I experienced the following unacceptable conditions:
1.Refrigerator Not Working: I reported this issue and was told that a refrigerator is a "courtesy" and not guaranteed. If that’s true, it should be made clear at booking.
2.Room Phone Not Working: The in-room phone was completely nonfunctional, which is a basic safety and service requirement.
3.Unsecured Building Door: The exterior door to the building would not secure, causing me to feel unsafe on the property.
4.Damp Floor: The room’s floor was damp, further reducing comfort.
5.Lamp Not Working: One of the lamps in my room was broken.
I brought these concerns to the attention of the front desk after my first evening, but nobody addressed them or offered solutions. When I informed staff of my intent to check out due to these persistent problems, I was told that I would not receive a refund for the second night. And, they refused to provide me with a receipt indicating that I checked out earlier than planned due to these issues.
The onsite manager was unhelpful and, again, denied a refund for the unused second night. I returned later in the evening to speak with another staff member, but the response was the same.
