I have stayed at a lot of location using VRBO and I have never given less than a 4 star rating but this honestly would have been a 0 star if I did not have to give it 1 star. Prior to my stay I informed the host that this was my son's 17th birthday trip and we would be arriving on his actual birthday, which was the 24th of March. Due to us being exhausted, we went to sleep before checking anything. We did not have hot water our entire trip. The sink in the bathroom the water was turned off from day 1. I turned it on, only to find out that no water was coming through the pipes. The host did not respond to the issues until hours after and she responded via the app instead of a call or text. I requested that she contact me directly and she called and asked if I spoke Spanish and I said I did not so she sent me a text. The person who was in charge of handling maintenance issues did not speak English so although he came out multiple times the issue was not resolved. Our water was cool the majority of the trip. On Wednesday night, Luis came with a translator named James, who explained the issue. Unfortunately, they were still unable to get us hot water. He was able to make it warmer but not hot. The sink apparently was broken and required a piece to fix. That was fixed Thursday morning. I spent most of the trip making sure that our outside activities outweighed the bad experience at the home. This home should be inspected by VRBO before being listed again.
