For those equestrians or spectators coming for the HITS horse shows this location cannot be beat! Adjacent to the horse show grounds, this property is a simply a short walk, golf cart, bicycle, or horseback ride away. Bring your horses! We have room here for everyone. Message for details.
Beautiful Farmhouse lovingly restored, 2,800 sq ft 4 Bedroom 2 full bath Main House. Few locations in New York prettier than Saugerties. The incredible Catskill Mountains run thru here and this property embraces them. We have nearly 25 acres here to explore, seems like a world away once you're on site. Saugerties has a hip little village setting very near by. Woodstock is just a few miles further west. Kingston is to the south and has one of everything you'll need.
This beautiful farmhouse is beyond comfortable. Nice big, open, bright rooms and comfy beds. The kitchen is very functional with a beautiful decorative fireplace and everything you'll need to cook some fine meals here. In addition, there is a new outdoor kitchen, where you can make a delicious BBQ , complete with an outdoor sink and griddle. Sit outside, relax at the dining table and enjoy a nice meal over looking the pool, and the beautiful grounds. Brand new heated salt water inground pool! Play a round of volleyball with your friends' or family, or have fun with cornhole. The house itself is huge so there's room to relax and spread out, or sit outside taking in the mountain views by the firepit. The house is very well appointed and will make a great home base while here. Two office workstations to work remotely if need be. This farmhouse will delight you. Nice wood floors through out. The house was originally built in 1850. On the main level you'll find a three season sun porch that walks into the country style kitchen. The kitchen flows nicely into the formal dining room and two living rooms. One of them has a fireplace and queen size sleeper couch. Lots of places to sit, relax and just re-connect. New, second full bath on this floor now. Upstairs you'll find four comfy bedrooms. There is room here for everybody. The newly renovated full bath on this level has a tub/shower combo. Nice big open lawn around the home with room for the kids to rumble, or take a dip in the heated salt water pool. Lie around on the sun loungers, or outside sofa and chairs. In a minute you can be in the Village to enjoy all it offers....nice shops and restaurants. Really great park in town called Cantine Park with ball fields, hoops and swings. The Catskill Park is nearby with thousands of acres to hike, bike and explore. The mighty Hudson River is very close by for boating, fishing and kayaking. This area is very well known for it's horses, open fields and endless views. Nearby are even larger parks known as Mohonk and Minnewaska. The carriage trails and mtn views go on forever there. I am pleased to say that my students and I were very comfortable in July, in the home so beautifully renovated. It was well appointed for our needs and so convenient to the show grounds. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and our designated 'cook' had a very easy time putting together great meals. The owner was attentive and so helpful in making our stay comfortable. Saugerties dreamhouse

In a sentence; this is a great rental. It's a lovely farmhouse set on 25 acres of property and is a great location in the wonderful town of Saugerties. It's very close to HITS, so if you love horses, it's a perfect location. The house is incredibly comfortable and well furnished. The outdoor furnishings are great and the grill is to die for. Turn on the backyard lights and forget all your worries in a great outdoor space for dinner and talking. A great firepit is installed, although it was a rainy month and we didn't get to take advantage of it. The kitchen is well furnished and my only criticism is of the TV. It's circa 1990's and I suggest they update to a plasma flat screen so you could watch screaming shows. But do you really rent a great place like this to watch TV? I say no.

Great place for Mid-Hudson group getaway

This is a very comfortable property with a wonderful location in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Plenty of parking, super clean, well-furnished and exactly as described in the VRBO listing. Location is super for enjoying the Mid-Hudson Valley - museums, apple picking, leaf-peeping, Hudson paddling and the HITS Saugerties horse facility.

Misleading listing

All good except the listing says 5 bedroom 3 baths and in actuality the house is 4 bedrooms and 2 baths .. with an option if you pay more to use a separate apartment you can if you ask.... very sleazy!!!!!

Great location for our group!

We were in town for 2 weeks at HITS, and this house couldn’t have been any more convenient or well suited for our group. Lots of room for kids to roam, and great grown up space as well. It’s a very charming home, and the outdoor cooking area is fantastic. The separate apartment was perfect for our trainer to get some privacy while still being part of our gaggle. I do wish there were a few more supplies provided ( more cooking utensils, plates/forks/bowls, and some basic foodstuffs like salt and oil) and more generous towels and blankets, but overall, it was a great house for our purposes. Also, I wish the foot/bike access to the showgrounds was better detailed, but since we were there through some of the most epic storms ever, we would’ve had to rely on covered transportation anyway! Thanks for everything!!

Perfect for large group

Our family enjoyed staying here! There were 8 of us, plenty of beds and space to spread out for both the adults and the kids. Large dining room table and kitchen (plenty of prep space) and it was very nice to have a washer and dryer, too. We never saw the home owners but I was in communication with Yasmin around checkout time and she was very kind and pleasant to work with. It would be great if there were washclothes and basics in the bathroom (soap/shampoo), but this was minimal. I very much appreciated that all the bedding was washed with unscented soaps, thank you!

Perfect rental home for HITS!

Property is a two minute drive to HITS. So convenient for popping back for lunch or a forgotten item. Back yard wonderful for BBQs in the evening. Plenty of rooms to chose from to sleep. Great to have washer/dryer access!

Great Location

Our barn stayed at the home for the HITS horse show and was a great experience. Yasmin was there to meet us when we arrived at the home and discuss the home and area attractions which was great. The home had plenty of bedrooms and space for everyone to spread out. We would recommend the home to anyone looking to attend the HITS horse show as the home is right around the corner from the show grounds and was easy to run back and forth during the week.

A very peaceful weekend away

Myself and a few friends wanted to get away for the weekend and we found this property. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, and was a very big and clean house. Although the owner was always on hand, I never met with them, and they respected our privacy. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and I am looking forward to my next stay. Very peaceful area, BBQ and a big garden for our dogs to run around. But compared to other properties, I say again, I am very pleased how clean and close to everything (with car) this property was. Check out the lighthouse - Yasmin, I do thank you for everything, and you are truly a great host/owner. David

The vest family vacation
