If you want to experience Historic St. Augustine from the center of town look no further than 62 Hypolita Carriage House, a private spacious apartment with rooftop located in the heart of the walking district. Park for FREE in one coveted spot and never get in your car again! Start your day with a cup of coffee in the quiet morning on the cozy balcony that looks out to Hypolita Street. Cook up breakfast "at home," or walk across the street to a favorite bagel shop before heading out to explore the many shops, and historic sights in downtown and along the riverfront.

62 Hypolita Carriage House is located just a block from historic St. George Street right between award-winning restaurants and bars, and just behind The Gifted Cork Wine and Gift Shop where you can enjoy daily wine tastings. The rooftop experience is a special feature of this apartment where you can enjoy dinner around a firepit while people-watching, or play cornhole toss under spreading oak branches. Curl up on the sofa or in the luxurious bedroom with your loved ones to watch a movie.

The private apartment entrance is just off the street behind the wine shop with the parking spot is just across the brick-paved street. Enjoy the ambiance of a historic building with stained trim, numerous windows, and coquina exterior, while having the modern appeal of all-new furnishings, track lighting, and updated flooring and appliances. Your private entrance is through a historic wooden door and up a flight of steps. The main living area features comfortable living room seating, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, dining table and desk. Full of light from the many windows and skylights, the apartment is comfortable and bright, with all new furnishings and decor. An oversized bedroom with king bed and sitting area opens through double french doors onto the rooftop space which has an outdoor dining table with firepit and corn hole. The bathroom features a tub/shower combo with heat lamp and soft white towels. For additional sleeping, the sofa makes a queen-sized bed.

Noise Ordinance: The city of St. Augustine has a noise ordinance that prohibits noise between the hours of 10:00pm-6:00am Sunday-Thursday, and 11:00pm-7:00am Friday-Saturday. Violations can result in a $500 fee.

The property was clean, easily accessed, and nicely furnished. The location of the property is the star though. You are a block from St. George st. a bagel shop across the street and easy access to anything downtown related. We parked the car and never moved it the entire stay it was fantastic.

This was by far the best place we could have stayed in St Augustine to be able to enjoy the old city and St George St to the fullest. We were even able to catch a portion of the 4th of July fireworks from the balcony/deck!!

Location, location, location

The apartment is in a prime location, in the heart of historic downtown St Augustine. We were able to park our car and walk to the restaurants and small shops. The apartment is on a second floor and set back from the road, so pretty quiet. There was plenty of room with a good sized kitchen, living area and huge bedroom. The king size bed was comfortable. The home is very clean and has modern decor. There is a good size patio off the bedroom with a table and comfy chairs. There is a smaller balcony off the living area that we didnt use as it faced the apartment in front of us, which is close. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, utensils and dishware. We felt very safe and comfortable in this location. We had great communication from the managers of this property. If I had any cons, it would be the parking across the street in a designated spot. Its a little confusing to find the streets and entryway. We very much enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Excellent location allowed us to park the car and walk everywhere. Very quiet at night. We will definitely request this property again. We had a few minor issues dealing with issues uncontrollable for the property manager but they assisted us in working them out and without hesitation.

Location, location, location!

My husband and I needed a place to stay for a quick trip to St. Augustine for my daughter’s white coat ceremony and this place was perfect! It is located in the heart of everything!! Just walk out your door and you’re surrounded by tons of restaurants and activities to choose from. The place was perfect for our needs. Clean and spacious. The host was always available to answer my annoying questions. Great experience!! Would stay again if I am ever back in St. Augustine!

I understood this was in the historic area and we might experience some noise at night but I didn’t realize we were going to be two doors down from a bar open late. Most nights were very loud, shouting and music, outside our door until early hours of the morning. Otherwise, the location was perfect for walking almost everywhere, pleasantly decorated and check in/out process was very smooth.

Quick long weekend getaway for my wife and I. The upstairs apartment was just the absolute perfect location for walking about the historical downtown St Augustine. A reserved parking spot that was easy in/out was a huge benefit. The house was clean, comfortable, and had nice amenities such as 2 different balconies and plenty of room for a couple to relax. On a cool night, we enjoyed sitting outside with the gas firepit table and enjoying drinks. The nighttime noise from revelers is very manageable, and often entertaining! Communication from the host was excellent, and we used one of the discounts they offered to save money on the trolley tour. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Carriage House

The Carriage House was very comfortable and walkable to most sites and wonderful restaurants. We had everything we needed and we enjoyed all of the recommended restaurants. The location was perfect and the free parking was an added plus as parking fees are high. Owners were very responsive to any questions.

This carriage house apartment in the heart of historic St Augustine is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. It has a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable (firm) bed, and ample room to put belongings and plug in devices. Well-appointed decor but not cluttered. Worth a return visit.
