BEWARE! BAIT AND SWITCH HOTEL! Terrible Customer Service! I booked this motel through Expedia for 4 nights on the 4th of July weekend several weeks before the stay. I called the day of check in to let them know I would be checking in late. At that point, they told me I no longer had a reservation because they were not going to honor Expedia's reservation. They claimed that Expedia didn't post the correct price, so unless I paid almost triple what I booked it for, I didn't have a reservation. I called Expedia and they helped me find another hotel (which wasn't as nice, but it was close to the beach.) I would NEVER book there again - a clear case of bait and switch!

An old quilt covered the bed. We were not sure of the cleanliness. There was a strong cigarette smell so we needed to keep the window open on a cold night. The heater did not work. There were spiders and ants in the room. Only 2nd floor without elevator was available.

This hotel management wants absolutely nothing to do with rental apps. I paid thru Expedia. When we arrived. They told us they were not excepting our Itinerary #. They said they only take payments to them only. And for us to call Expedia for a refund. We were very disappointed because it was night and had to find another hotel, which made us skittish about using the app to find another hotel.

This was not a Hotel, it was a cheap Motel

The front desk to sign in was tinny and hot like walking into an oven. After getting key I went to room and the air wasn't even on and that room of burning up and smelly/nasty. I had to use my Axe spray to remove the smell while the room cooled down. Throughout the night that nasty moldy smell was nasty and hard to sleep smelling that. The shower stall (small) was backing up as I was showering and that was nasty showing while your feet are covered in soapy water. The Bed made so much noise when in it and the sheet was very thin and the comforter was cheap and also thin and no blankets to use because I had the room cold to keep the smell down. So I had to use a large towel I brought as a blanket along with the sheet they provided. I rated the Hotel 1 because there's nothing less than 1. Bottom line, it was a nasty smelly room. One other thing, there was no Microwave in the room or anywhere to heat up anything. There were 2 lamps and only one worked and there was a small dorm frig and an electric stove with a really nasty dirty vent above that made noise all night due to the storm passing and the heavy winds. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I stay there, rather stay in my car or cardboard box.

Decent quiet hotel with a short drive to the beach

Prior to arrival I was told that the card I used to place the hold for our room wouldn't be used and I could use a different card. However, the card that I used to hold was and I quote "the only card I could use" when I got there. This was the first disappointment. When this was figured out, we went to our room to find hairs on the sheets and what appeared to be blood stains on the pillow case. GROSS. Hotel management assured us that the linens were cleaned, but they were quick to give us new linens. It was a good place to stay when there was clean sheets.

This place barely reaches what I would call acceptable. While I didn't feel anything was terrible it was mediocre in a mediocre neighborhood... though provided access to the resort areas with a drive over the causeway. Owners keep it clean, but its all just the minmum. For a nights sleep along a busy highway and the price it was ok. Sometimes OK is good enough.

Definitely not worth the money that we paid!

The wifi was a terrible joke, same as a "river view". Very noisy A/C ( you can't watch a TV, because of the noise). No way to make a coffee or tea.

No suite by any means

The woman at the desk was nice. The room was tiny, had a damp smell to it and spiders fell fron the doorway the 2 times I walked into the room. I wound up not staying getting a room at the Days Inn. Probably a good room for a low budget weekend.....

Great place to stay, close by the beach

Very comfortable stay. Bathroom was updated and very clean, shower worked well, beds were very comfy, and the room was not humid because there was AC.

Last minute reservation; Found a diamond in the ro

I am writing you from the most charming room and the most comfortable bed! The owner called me 3 minutes after my reservation was made on hotels.com; he wanted to know my ETA. This was pleasant. I arrived a this motel style building (nestled in the middle of a quite neighborhood and off of Hwy 37), and met the owner in the small check in office. Payment was a cinch and the whole check in process was fast. Upon entering the room, we saw a renovated and charming studio style room. The beds were made up with colorful comforters and sheets. It felt like home. The room was clean from top to bottom, no complaints. There is also a full kitchen area, with stove, mini fridge,& microwave! This is a motel with so much charm! I can't see spending $145 For a worse location (we are minutes from seaside). Minutes after we settled in, the owner knocked to check that the room was to our satisfaction before he stepped out for dinner; that made our day. This can be considered a no frills hotel/motel; but we decided that we are only staying here when we come back! The value and customer service can't be beat! P.S. we had Reservations for the Hilton in East Brunswick (49 mins away)...but after a long day at seaside, we didn't want to drive. We made this reservation at the last minute, and we were not disappointed.

The room for $158 was a rip off. It's in Toms river so it peak season in a jersey shore town. There was no wash clothes in the room the office was disgusting and the sheets had rips in them. Overall experience was bad.

Horrible hotel

The room had drapes that did not cover the entire window. The linens and bedding were horrible quality and we were given 2 hand towels to shower for 4 ADULTS!The owner was rude and short tempered - of no help in making our stay better. This place should be priced in the 69.99. range - not the $220.00 we were charged.
