Boardman Monarch has a sister home next door (The Firefly Lodge), in case your family group or company retreat needs space for up to 26 people! But it books way in advance!

If you are looking for a beautiful, serene, upscale atmosphere, you will be very happy at the Boardman Monarch! There are quiet hours outside.

Entering the private home through tree trunk pillars on the porch, the main floor offers your family or business retreat a large great room with more indoor tree trunk pillars, a full bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, and master bedroom with comfortable desk and ensuite bathroom. There is also a stocked laundry room.

The main floor master bedroom has a plush king bed and beautiful desk with massive windows to enjoy the river flowing just outside. The ensuite bathroom has a low clearance walk-in shower, as well as plenty of shelf space.

Some family members might curl up on our cozy couches near the beautiful gas fireplace! Some family members might read or watch a favorite show on the Smart TV. (Feel free to log into your own steaming service.)

The great room is so large that it also includes a game table, and there are some game options stocked for your family fun.

The Kitchen is equipped with your cooking necessities and so much more! Coffee options include drip-coffee, Keurig, and a french press!

The main floor has a second bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has stacked bunk beds, two triples, providing 6 twin beds for the grandkids or company bonding. The full bathroom is separate and includes a shower with a tub.

A second large master suite is up the log staircase. The suite has two queen beds, a large walk in closet (where Pack 'n' Play is located), and a large ensuite bathroom with loads of counter space and low-entry walk in shower. (The Pack ‘n’ Play is the mini crib amenity.)

As nice as this house is inside, you'll want to spend all your time outside. The Boardman River flows right by your spacious deck and fire pit. The deck is equipped with an acacia wood outdoor dining table, a beautiful grill, and two gilders to sit and soak it in. Did we mention a HOT TUB?! This house is perfect for a large family gathering, a weekend getaway, or company retreat with a special customer.

With tubes of different sizes, you’re set to float down the river or slide down the ski hill! Small tube 32" and “is suitable for 50- 90 lbs”. Medium tube inflates to 36" “suitable for 120 lbs or less”. Large tube inflates to 40" “suitable for 120-200lb.” And 44” tubes handle “250lbs”!

Boardman river is fairly cold, but many people enjoy fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing!

Boardman Monarch is very close to The Brown Bridge Quiet Area, which offers miles of hiking trails. Like to snowmobile? We are in close proximity to the Boardman Valley Trail System's 81 miles of trails! We are close to the Vasa Single Track, a great Mountain Bike trail system. In addition, the Vasa is home to 25 km of groomed cross-country trails. Mount Holiday is only 11 minutes away, a local downhill ski hill that also offers snow tubing and zip lining. Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is only 27 miles away.

This setting is perfect for relaxing riverfront vacationing away from the hustle of town, but be sure to leave time for a short 15-minute drive to the city. Traverse City is well known for its lakefront, with countless shops and restaurants. The greater Traverse City Area is nationally recognized for Old Mission Peninsula's and the Leelanau Peninsula's many wineries, as well as the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.

Short stays, weekly and monthly, are available. Traverse City Horse Shows at Flintfields Horse Park is 26 minutes from this location. Downtown Traverse City is just 15 minutes away.
