Located on a quiet dead end street. Off street parking. Three bedroom house with finished basement. 1 & 1/2 bath. Fully functional Kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher. Washer/Dryer. Front deck, back patio. Surrounded by woods but is located in the city. Movie projector located in basement. Troy is rich in history and great unique shops down town. Walking distance to Mohawk Hudson bike trail. Great Farmers Market and nightlife.
This was our second atay at this property. It was great since we have friends and family in Albany and Troy. It was private, clean and very convenient.
An excellent property, well stocked, clean, and close to everything. Would stay here again next time we are in the area. Every amenity has been thought of by the owners. Highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay.
The Other House is a cute and quirky place where we instantly felt at home. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked as if all our needs were anticipated. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Capital Region. The backyard hill is a little steeper than the photos make it out to be, so throwing the ball with the pup was not possible.
We were glad to find accommodations close to RPI for our daughters graduation. Brenda thinks of everything, very thoughtful and we especially appreciate the bottled water. Thank you!
We booked this beautiful home while visiting family attending the University at Albany. The house was very cozy and welcoming. Brenda and family went above and beyond to ensure our stay was terrific.
beautiful older house with great lines. nicely furnished with all the right touches and a good number of rooms. only drawback was it was a little dirty. hostess seemed like a very nice person and gave me good and accurate information
Wonderful home away from home. Comfortable and furnished. On a dead end street with plenty of privacy. Brenda was a wonderful host, would recommend this pet friendly spot to anyone who is visiting Troy. No complaints 5 stars!
We arrived and didnt know what to expect. Everyone proceeded to choose the room that seemed to just fit. We enjoyed the opportunity to sit fireside and plan our days and even had a cook out. Nobody had any complaint about the house. If it were my property i would suggest a no shoes policy. I cant think of any other place i would prefer to stay . It was safe, the neighbors were very nice and our host was the best. Thank you for everything.
The property was quaint and comfortable. The owner was very attentive and accommodating. We would stay longer if we could have but the property was not available, understandably so.
We had a great stay visiting our son in college. The house had all the comfort and space for everyone to relax. We also appreciated the goodies and extra touches by the host which made us feel welcome.
We had a great stay here. Our hosts are amazing and very thoughtful. Wonderful hospitality ; we felt welcome immediately. The hosts thought of everything we might need. We ordered De Fazios pizza which is right around the corner. Thanks again.
This is the second time we are renting this property⊠Myself and my young adult daughters, and our two dogs. We were in the area to watch my daughter play volleyball at the College of Saint Rose⊠This is a perfect location.! The house has plenty of space and is tastefully decorated with lots of attention to detail, including seasonal decor and fall decorations.
We enjoyed a few dinners in the Downtown Troy Riverfront area and also visited the New York State Museum in downtown Albany, which I highly recommend! Thanks again for the snacks and various toiletries⊠they are greatly appreciated đ
I am sure we will be returning to this house again!!!
My daughters and I had a great stay ⊠house is roomy and homey, with lots of attention to detail!! Very much appreciated the toiletries, snacks and coffee .. extremely thoughtful touches! The location to Troy and Albany is ideal. While we spent most of this trip moving my daughter into her dorm, we are excited to come back and visit downtown Troy and further explore the capital region. We have already booked a return trip!
The only negative issue is the condition of the house next door ⊠not sure of the circumstances, but it is a bit of an eyesore⊠the street is narrow and neighbors are close, but there was never any negative issue, aside from aesthetics. The yard area is lovely and I hope to have more relaxation time on our next visit âŠand bring the pets đ
