We had a lovely time at Silverado II. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were really nice to come back to.
The staff was excellent! They were so accommodating whenever we needed anything.
Very spacious 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen and living room. We enjoyed the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and option to play pool.
The bus to the ski area stopped right outside the resort entrance.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Only issues we had were minor. The dishwasher didn't appear to work, but figured out the latching mechanism was worn and if you slam it had enough you could get it to operate. Other minor issue was the TV in the the Master didn't work/wasn't connected to cable. Would have been nice to use it but not that big of a deal. There was a plumbing disaster in another area, which fortunately didn't affect us. The morning we moved out the elevator wasn't working... again, not that big of a deal as we are an able bodied family and the complex is only 2 stories, but we couldn't use a luggage cart since we were going down stairs. The pool, hot tubs and sauna were nice and the kids enjoyed the game room. I do wish there was an outdoor hot tub, but all in all I believe we got the value we paid for and would stay there again with the same budget. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and the beds were comfortable. Having the shuttle to the resort area was a plus, but if you are carrying a bunch of equipment for little kids, I recommend driving to the Mary Jane base. The walk to the Winter Park base from the drop off is hellacious and even worse coming back (uphill). My elementary aged kids were about done before they even put on their skis. Mary Jane parking was plentiful and right at the lifts. Downside is not much easy stuff there. This isn't a 5-star posh ski in/ski out experience, but it isn't the Motel 6 either.
The Staff at Silverado II were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are exceptional and comfortable. I would reccomend this place to anyone planning a stay in Winter Park.
It was just what we needed for a long weekend ski trip of 4 days. The Winter Park ski shuttle picks you up right in front of the hotel by the road. Itâs a little difficult to walk in the snow to the main road, so make friends with or find out the number to the local shuttle driver in the evenings who can get you to one of the couple of restaurants or a grocery store. Full kitchen was great. Fireplace was also nice. Very spacious 2 bedroom unit with plenty of living room space, dining table and full kitchen with a dishwasher! Also the 2 little balconies were cute - one from the main bedroom and another balcony connected to the living room. Front desk service was nice and polite. Make sure to get to the grocery store to grab a few things. You wonât be reasonably able to walk in the snow down the road past all the other hotels to get to some food without the local shuttle picking you up.
Silverado II was a great place to stay. Convenient to Winter Park ski slopes and downtown Winter Park. Free transportation is available to the surrounding areas. I am planning my next stay already.
Jonathon the site manager did a great job of keeping in touch & trying to accomodate everyone.
The condo that we thought was on the first level was actually on the 2nd level & had to climb 2 sets of stairs to get to it after taking the elevator to the 2nd floor.
This is an older property that has been kept up well. Fully stocked with the essentials. We had a medical emergency while staying and had the most generous and gracious assistance during our time of need. Pool and hot tubs were in working order. Extremely pleasant staff.
