Our family stayed at three different hotels within Yellowstone NP in May 2026. Of the three, Canyon Lodge was the nicest in terms of room quality and food options. The rooms were new and clean. We were able to walk to their dining facilities which offered great, casual options at a decent price. It was a great place to stay while exploring the Hayden Valley, Yellowstone Lake and The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone areas. It also has good access to the Lamar Valley when the connecting road is open (late May). It is far from the Old Faithful area, but we were much happier leaving the congestion of that area behind to go to Canyon Lodge.

The hotel was fabulous! The property and lodge was very nice and the staff was very welcoming. The only thing that didn’t meet our expectations was the WiFi. We were told there was WiFi but it did not work whatsoever.
