We had to pay extra to use the water park, which was frustrating, but we did. Then we get to the waterpark, and there is green slime all over the floors and walls of the lazy river. You could actually feel it when walking. The pool with the lily pads was gross. Workers cared more about being on their phones, than helping anyone. Will never stay here again.

Hi Heather, Thank you for your review.....You made your reservation through Expedia and all 3rd party reservations do not come with the waterpark, they should inform you of that and I believe it says it on their website as well. I will address the "green slime" to our engineering department, that isn't acceptable, and neither is the employees on the phone, that too will get addressed. I will gladly take off the price of the WP and refund you that if you stop down at the desk or give me a call.

Thank you for your review. I'm not really sure what department you are referring to? Waterpark, Chophouse, Rafters lounge? Would need to know so I can address that department and figure out what happened.You can certainly call the resort and ask for the GM, Dave, if you would like to give more info. That would be great. Facility is older but certainly unique in its design. Rooms are spacious but simply have not seen an update now in what I would estimate it 15 or so years. Waterpark is fun but as evidence on the remaining leafs on the fake palm trees, it needs some major TLC. The overall resort just feels worn out and tired. The ‘free’ pool is stuck in 1980 and you likely won’t find any ‘gym-style’ towels while visiting. Both hot tubs were broken while there and wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they decide to just fill one in with concrete (actually, they’ll probably just rope it off and let it rust away). Overall you pay a premium when you pay for a room plus a resort fee plus water park admission and everywhere you look it seems as it breaks, just remove it or put a board over it. If you’re looking for a place to take kids to get out of the cold, sure, it’s fine. If you’re looking for a truly resort experience, this is not the place for the price.

I needed to cancel due to family emergency and was not allowed to even do so despite giving greater than a 1 day notice. Expedia said it was hotel decision and hotel said it was Expedia decision. Based in this I will certainly not have daughters wedding reception there as we we considering. Stay away. Has been place.

The rooms were nice and clean. The pool area and water park were very run-down looking. Needs a good renovation. Kids had fun though!
