The staff was friendly. The 2nd room was dirty, my wife had to clean the bathroom before she would use it. Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher and the first room smelled and was filthy. The 2nd room smelt better but was dirty, hair on the bedding dried stuff on the counters. We travel with wet wipes just in case. Will not trust you're website and ratings again.

Front desk guy is so pleasant and accommodating. He knows I work nights so tried to place me in rooms that don’t have occupants nearby. That alone is extremely appreciated. The rooms here have always been spotless. I’ve stayed here several occasions for work and have never been disappointed. Excellent upkeep.

I travel for work and have stayed at a few places in Ames before staying here. Let’s just say this is the only place that has felt clean, not just looked clean. I normally don’t stay at hotels that have carpet but this place had carpeting that looked like it had just been shampooed. Excellent upkeep in function and appearance from maintenance/mgmt. Guy at the front desk is always welcoming and after driving for over 4hrs that’s really appreciated.
