The description of the hotel was VERY deceiving. The hotel itself is very dated. Especially the rooms. The valet parking is an absolute nightmare! We arrived around 6pm, and had to make circles in order to even get line for valet parking. Upon finally receiving attention from the valet attendant, he was very unprofessional. Once checked in to our room, the temperature of the room was freezing. We called maintenance twice, (very nice gentleman) and they could not resolve the issue. So, we had to change rooms. This is not a pleasant, or convenient task to have to do when traveling with small children. This leads me to my next complaint⊠it was never specified anywhere, that we needed to make reservations for the pool! Yes, reservations for pool use! I have never heard of this in all of my years of traveling. Luckily we were able to secure a time slot for the next day, but was incredibly disappointed in the pool itself. It is very small, and the tile around the pool is extremely slick. Like hazardous slick.
During our check out, we once again had valet issues. No attendant. One of the front desk clerks finally had to take us to the parking garage to retrieve our car.
After hours of checking out, I have yet to receive my receipt. My card was of course charged at check in, and I was also charged for the valet service that I did not receive.
I would absolutely never recommend this hotel.
Front desk staff was extremely courteous and professional and helped us alot during our stay (Ralph at night and Tysha in the morning). Room felt pretty neglected as I had really high hopes for Hyatt however the ac vent cover and furnace cover were falling apart and then to our horror we smelled gas (like the smell of gas from stove) on the 8th floor. It was around 8pm and we asked Ralph for a different room and he helped us relocating to 2 different rooms after that but everytime we went to a room after a few minutes the same smell would come from the ac vent.
Long story short we decided to leave as we had little kids but none of hotels were available to check in as it was close to midnight.
Expedia assured us that we will be reimbursed for our night as the whole night we kept changing rooms with little kids, however in the morning expedia said we will charged since we stayed as per hotel policy. I spoke to Tysha at the front desk and she told us that the manager Jason wants to help us whatever way he can but we were still charged for our first night and reimbursed for the other two nights we booked for but didnt stay.
