Winter weekend in Maine

It's not winterized but with the fireplace/woodburning stove/heat and space heaters we were never cold and quite warm. We played lots of board games and enjoyed nearby hikes and the Gardens Aglow. Very quiet street in the winter.

Not Clean
Publié le 10 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayAt first glance the house seemed charming. However, the smell of urine in the bathroom was overwhelming. Also urine smell in first floor bedroom. Twin pull out couch had dirty linens and blanket stuffed under the cushion. Couch had dirt under it (on a vinyl floor). Kitchen sink needed to be scoured. Fireplace had not been cleaned in forever. House was cold with only one gas heater.

We value your feedback, and we want to address each issue to ensure a better experience for future guests.-We apologize for any lingering odor. While we suspect it may have been residual from a previous guest with a dog, we appreciate your understanding. We will take immediate action by installing a bath exhaust fan to improve ventilation. Additionally, we will remind our cleaning team to launder mats on vinyl floors thoroughly.-Concerning the twin pull-out couch with dirty linens and a blanket stuffed underneath, we regret any oversight in cleaning. We have discussed this with our team to ensure that thorough checks are conducted before each guest's arrival. Additionally, we acknowledge the concern about the kitchen sink and fireplace and have scheduled a cleaning to address any soot around the fireplace screen. A chimney sweep was conducted in early September.-We understand the inconvenience of a cold house, and we appreciate your feedback. Going forward, we will ensure that the heat is turned up before guests arrive.- We encourage guests to reach out with any concerns while in residence so we have the opportunity to make things right - the local contact would have been happy to assist with any of these issues.Your feedback is invaluable, and we are committed to making the necessary improvements to ensure a more pleasant stay for future guests. Thanks again!

I enjoyed the deck area and open grass area for my dog.

House in the woods

It’s very well equipped and stocked (which is generally only true if someone has actually lived there), and it was on an appealingly wooded street. There’s no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Just wonderful
Publié le 16 août 2022 sur HomeAwayGreg’s cottage has everything one needs to enjoy Boothbay Harbor. He was readily available to help out and I highly recommend this listing. Also, if you like cooking, he has absolutely everything you can think of. The whole place was super organized. And if you have to do laundry, he has everything you need. Boothbay is super nice and the place is walking distance to town and Barrett Park.
