This place was awful and I’m glad my friends and I only stayed for 1 night. As soon as we arrived, we were told we had the last two rooms and that there were 6 other reservations that hadn’t checked in yet- meaning they gave these reservations away to walk ins. The person right behind us was one of those people. We later saw a family with children who were also out of luck. When we went to our seperate rooms, they were also in poor condition. Mine had a non working dishwasher with no signage indicating such so it leaked but I managed to catch it asap and clean it. My friends didn’t have one at all. They also have a kitchenette in the rooms but no sponges or dish soap provided to hand wash anything nor cutting board for food prep. The kitchen kit you are given is 1 place setting per person and you must request extras like a coffee maker. My friend’s had a bed that caved in the middle with an already bent supper beam so they took turns sleeping on the sofa bed. My room had two electrical switches that fully came off when I tried to turn on the mounted hair dryer and plug in my phone charger in another outlet. There were clear repairs done on the walls with white spackle on areas that stood out against the beige and navy blue walls. These should have been painted over to match the rest of the wall color. There was also non working WiFi that front desk didn’t resolve despite me calling and confirming they could easily fix it- they never did. Our money should be refunded.

Noisy people everywhere, the rooms aren’t soundproof whatsoever, no peace. Fire alarms went off twice. Our room smelled like old food and it was like that all 5 days we were there. Staff all acted like they hated their lives. Honestly one of the worst hotels we’ve been at.

Definitely on need of updating and definitely more of a residential place than a hotel. Just needed one night but ones super busy October weekend anything closer to Salem (all the tourists in October) or closer to Boston (Head of the Charles Regatta) were significantly more expensive. This also happened to be next to the Baldwin Bar in Szechuan Garden which is a phenomenal bar upstairs and amazing Chinese food down. Super-slow check-in with a front desk clerk that barely spoke (barely spoke English?). Elevator was out of order. Clerk walked us up to our room on the third floor (weird). Stood by as we went to unlock and enter our room. Our keys didn’t work - and seemingly expecting that, he had his master key out and let us in that way. Room was stark and blah. Vinyl “hard wood” floors, stark white sheets and comforter. 3 pillows on bed. Ugly vinyl(?) couch. Dim and harsh lighting. Seemed like it was decorated and furnished to be easy to hose down for a cleaning…

Room was amazing clean! Kyle made me feel welcomed on my first night even brought me coffee make an toaster so that i could make a late dinner. Plentiful parking they are in the middle of resurfacing wasnt a hassle for me at all. Stop an Shop basically across then CVS, Dunks, Mobil an convenient store all in walking distance
