The hotel staff were welcoming and responsive. It was very clean and updated. It is located about two blocks from Long Wharf where you can go to the Aquarium, catch a water taxi or ferry, or dine at some excellent restaurants. State Street Provisions was our favorite nearby dining spot there. Take a walk in the opposite direction several blocks and you'll get to Boston Commons to begin the Freedom Trail. Many good dining choices It is also only about a ten minute walk to the North End where you'll find great Italian options. The location couldnt be better for exploring in all directions by foot.

Spacious room, centrally located for city sights and getting the ferry to Salem as well as train to Concord. Would return and stay at the same hotel. (Lovely breakfasts and dinners at the restaurant next door, too!)

Not worth the price. Rooms smell very musty and old. Decor feels cheap. There are no electronic key cards, you get a physical key. There are way better hotels at this price point. Nothing boutique about this place.

It is very clean, rooms are spacious, centrally located to the north end and close to: Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, harbor, aquarium, duck tours, 20 minute subway ride to Fenway Park, etc..

The check-in process was very smooth - we arrived a little earlier than check-in time and instead of asking us to store luggage and come back, the friendly front desk employee found a clean room available for us! She even provided a map and recommendations for a tour. Thankfully, the quick check-in allowed us to start exploring immediately. Also, cool that they use real keys instead of magnetic cards. The room itself was clean and nice-sized. Our bathroom's fan and shower light were not in service, but it did not affect us too much. We made use of the mini refrigerator, iron, and ironing board and they all worked well. This is a beautiful hotel with brick interior, nicely decorated with harbor and nautical art. The hotel has two working elevators, and we had no issues with long waits. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring nearby Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, and walkable to many nearby attractions. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and highly recommend the Harborside Inn. One tip for management to take it to A+ would be to consider including free breakfast or a morning snack to hotel guests.
