The place is one star and only for the views. Staff was slow, the room was a show box, and had a weird smell. So much noise was made throughout the night, this place should never be called quiet. The room next to me had the tv turned all the way up and on all night until I checked out. I will NEVER come here again. My worst experience, should be a motel.

Rooms clean and somewhat updated. I was ok with the property itself as the price was good for the area. We stayed on a sat night though and while I didn’t mind the band playing very loudly early in the evening, my family of 4 turned in at 11pm which is when we heard a stoppage of music. But it was only a break. I was awoken for more music until midnight. We were assigned a room directly above the bar and I feel the front desk clerk could have asked our preference as I did not realize such noise would be an issue. Oh - fire pit was just outside our window too, so extra noise unfortunately. Breakfast was not very enjoyable either but sufficient.

The breakfast was good, but I didn’t see anybody cleaning up as people came in and out. Therefore, the dining area got pretty dirty. The bed was fine. The only thing is is our door continuously stuck, and they seemed rather aloof about it.

The hotel smells like mildew really bad I sprayed so much air freshener out in the hallways to cover up the mildew that it set off my COPD. the room the bed wasn't even facing the TV one bed was facing the TV and the other bed was against the wall that the TV was on so you couldn't even see the TV while in the bed the bathroom's so small you could have s*** shower and shaved at the same time

Getting in the room was a challenge, my husband had to shoulder check the door every time after using the key to open it. Restaurant was closed the majority of our stay, and when it was open they had karaoke that could be heard in the rooms upstairs. There is no daily housekeeping so getting fresh towels was a challenge. The ice machine was not working so we had to go to the front desk for ice instead. The snack vending machine gets jammed often (per the receptionist), and the breakfast was mediocre at best, the eggs tasted like plastic. We would not stay there again.

I felt safe in the area. There were always people walking in the area. It's close to the highway. The breakfast was less than average. There were hot items available, but it's very low grade. The property IS next to a lake so bugs and spiders are somewhat expected, but there were a couple of spiders in the room. We had a lake view, but it would have been nice if the windows were clean. The beds were comfortable. Staff was not always at the front desk and I had to wait 10-15 for someone to show up so I could check in. Be warned that there is no elevator, so if you cannot do stairs, request a room on the first floor. The ice machine was not functioning, so we had to ask the front desk if we wanted ice. The staff was friendly and never seemed to mind helping. Overall, our stay was fine. The hotel was convenient for us as it was close to Salem.

I needed a room for one night because I was attending a wedding in the area so it served its purpose just fine. The view of the lake was lovely! However both my room and the parking lot smelled like marijuana which I didn't like. The towels and sheets also had stains on them as well.

Lake view lovely

Pleasant location. Breakfast was okay. Eggs tasted like a mix and meat hash-browns casserole was odd. Staff were welcoming, Barn door on bathroom keeps coming off the runners and does not provide a sense of privacy due to the gaps when closed. Beds comfortable. Lake view is lovely.
