This waterfront property, with DIRECT ACCESS TO WATER, SWIMMING, FISHING, BOATING, PADDLE BOARDING and KAYAKING, has it all! And....just minutes to historic downtown Boston.
Two bedrooms, Queen and 2 twins with an additional day bed and futon in the living room. .Beautiful sunsets and water views from every window! Come and breathe in the salty ocean air. Public transportation stops right on our corner, or just sit back and take the ferry . 10 minutes to the boardwalk, boats, shops at Marina Bay and ferry to historic Boston. Local bike trails weave through protected marshlands teeming with wildlife. Come photograph the swans, herons and egrets swimming in front of the house. All water view photos were taken from in front of the house.
Lobster pot and essentials provided.

Our home is fully equipped with fast, wireless internet, 2 large flat screen tv’s in bedrooms 1&3: high speed wifi. There are 2 kayaks (paddles and life vests) on the premises and five boogie boards. We have 2 metal detectors and a telescope for fun and a fishing pole with tackle box.
The space is approximately 1000 square feet with hardwood floors throughout. Duplex with private side entrance and contactless check-in and out. Parking is free. Self check in with numeric locks and 24 hour live response.

Thought I would be able to sit out in the porch and look at the water. That was not the case. The house sits on a fork in the road so it is surrounded my all street and you can hear EVERY SINGLE car that passes by. For a light sleeper like myself the struggle was real.The shower needs a major remodel as you can tell where their is just repair tape and stickers to cover up the breakdown of the tub.After night one I also realized the pillow i slept on had mildew stains. Boston was great but I cant say we'd stay here again.

A friend and I were visiting a relative in Boston but didn't want to stay in the city. This was an excellent location for us since it's only a 20 to 30 minute drive away. The apartment is very eclectic with fun decorative touches and an interesting history. Susan was an excellent host and responded quickly to all our requests for information. The view of Boston across the water is stunning. It's an easy 20-minute walk to a grocery and good restaurant which also offers delivery. The only real negative was traffic noise at night. It didn't interfere with our sleeping; but if you are accustomed to complete quiet, it may. Overall, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

This quaint harbor view cottage reminded me of visiting my grandparents during the summer. This cottage, which in the 1940s was the local general store, has been transformed into a quirky and homey cottage. The floor may not be 100% level, but it is original hardwood and very clean and in good condition. It was furnished with lovely antiques and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and all the appliances worked perfectly. There are 2 window air conditioning units in the cottage for your comfort, and table fans if needed. We went in October with perfect weather, so didn’t use either the air conditioners or the heat. The crowning jewel of this place is the view, and the availability of a rocky beach for shell and beach glass hunting right across the street. The host was always available for any concerns, even at midnight when we arrived and had some initial questions. Its location close to the ferry makes it very easy to take a day trip into Boston. I would definitely stay here again.

The compact apartment is about what I expected after checking out the satellite views of the area. Parking and navigation was easy as was access to the bus a block away. Walks along the Quincy Bay view street were pleasant. Our hostess was great with all kinds of helpful advice. Cost was quite reasonable. The only negative was traffic noise our first night [Thursday]. Nits were uneven floors that settled over the decades and a shower that could use updating. I'd go back.

Boston Marathon

Enjoyed being out of Boston and being close to public transportation to get to Boston. Know it was going to be hectic but all the people running in the race and everyone cheering all throughout the course was absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing your house and the history of it.

The History!

This was a great stay. We travel often and always use VRBO. We loved the quirky floors of the old building. Took me back to my childhood in my grampas farm house. Then when I learned the history of the property, I fell in love. Definitely recommend for families

Wonderful stay. We wanted to be close to the ocean. This Vrbo is right by the ocean. You can see Boston’s skyline. The host is wonderful. Everyone in Boston, Quincey, and Salem were so friendly.

Loved it!
