I had such a wonderful stay at this cabin. From the moment I arrived, everything felt peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. The cabin was exactly as described—cozy, beautifully maintained, and stocked with all the essentials (and then some). You can tell the hosts put real care into making the space welcoming.The location was perfect for unwinding. I loved waking up to the quiet surroundings, enjoying coffee on the porch, and ending the evenings by the fire. It struck the perfect balance between feeling secluded and still being close enough to anything I needed.Communication with the host was excellent—quick responses, clear instructions, and genuinely friendly. Check‑in was smooth, and I felt taken care of the entire time.If you’re looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable cabin escape, this is absolutely the place. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The place was in perfect condition and looked just like the pictures! Had everything you could possibly need and was centrally located by everything. The back porch was a fantastic place to watch tv and enjoy the hot tub all at the same time. I would definitely recommend staying here

Everything was absolutely beautiful! The adults and kiddos all had a wonderful week there. Absolutely loved how welcoming the cabin was for all of us. The kiddos have already said they miss the cabin so much and exploring all around it. Nothing was lacking. It is also very convenient to so many sites like the Safari drive thru, horse back riding, the state park..... The hosts were terrific to deal with.

GIRLS WEEKEND in HOCHATOWN!!We drove from Dallas to Broken Bow & this Cabin was perfect for our group of gals. It's beautiful and location is great! (the road leading to the cabin is currently gravel/dirt so don't wash your car prior to travel) Has all the things to enjoy a relaxing get-a-way! The cabin had ample space & so cozy with the indoor & outdoor fireplace. Really enjoyed the Hot Tub! Had all the amenities you would need. Few suggestions for the owners would be 1) adding more towel hooks or rack in the upstairs bath. 2) A full length mirror. 3) curtain shade on the exterior bathroom door & 4) extra large skillet. Overall, we had an awesome stay & would book here again!

Graduation Trip

The property was just as pictured. I felt right at home soon as I walked in. The back porch with the TV was great for our morning coffee drinks and the kids nightly hot tub fun. I would’ve like to have maybe some lighting down by the fire pit and swings. The beds were super comfy. The upstairs area is great for kids but I would add a ceiling fan or fan for guest to plug in as needed. I will definitely be recommending this to friends or booking again.

We didn’t want to leave!

We spent the weekend at Idlewood with our 4 adult children. It is a beautifully built home, tastefully decorated, in a wooded setting. The house was super clean, beds and pillows were comfy and we had everything we needed. Having an en-suite in each bedroom was very nice. WiFi worked great and we were able to login to our streaming services on the television which were automatically scheduled to logout at checkout time. The hosts reached out to make sure we had everything we needed. Checkout was a breeze. We all felt sad when we had to leave and we will definitely be back!

The PEACE we needed.

This was a family trip just to get away from the everyday business and spend a little time with our new graduate before we dropped her off to college ~ the PEACRE we needed. The Idlewild cabin is beautifully decorated, well stocked, and conveniently located just off the main strip. Why did our family love it so much? 1. Peacefulness – the next morning after we arrived, I made myself a coffee and sat outside on the huge patio. For the first time in awhile I was able to hear myself THINK. It was totally quiet with occasional chirping and singing from the birds. Truly peaceful is the only way I can describe it. 2. Layout – we loved that the layout offered separation from the kiddos on the other side of the house. We were able to peacefully sleep in without interruption ~ the beds were so comfortable that the kids slept in too. 3. Cleanliness – the cabin was spotless and stocked with all the necessities to feel at home. More than anything it’ll be the homely feeling and the peacefulness we experienced during our stay. We’ll be back again!

Family Christmas trip

This cabin was beautiful! The cabin was very clean and up to date. The back porch was one of the best parts! Drinking coffee on the back patio couch with a fire was perfect! They had games for the family to play and was in a beautiful spot.

Idlewild Cabin Rocks

This cabin is in a great location in Broken Bow, just a mile or so south of the Beavers Bend Park entrance. Perfect size for our family of five. Two large bedrooms with King size beds and ensuite baths; dual bunk beds upstairs with its own ensuite bathroom. Large back patio is covered with a TV, fireplace, and dining table. Kitchen is well appointed. House overall was comfy and spacious. We will be back.

Camp bachelorette!

My girlfriends and I booked a weekend here to celebrate my bachelorette, which was such a success! The cabin was absolutely stunning, the hosts were so easy to communicate with, the location was great and we had no issues or complaints at all! Would recommend, and book this place again!

Enjoyed Idlewild

If you are looking for unique and relaxing getaway , Idlewild is perfect ,My girlfriends and I had the most relaxing weekend. The cabin is absolutely beautifully decorated and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. We loved the hot tub and the fireplaces! The manager communicated well. Five-star cabin in every way! We will definitely be back!
