Publié le 18 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is an older property, which is not a big deal; however, the house was very dirty. So much so that we ended up getting a hotel instead of staying here. Closer to what you would expect at a deer camp than a VRBO. It is probably ok for some college guys who are low budget crashing for the night, but not some place for the family.

You call tell effort is made for a clean propery but I would call it old property clean - you just can't quite get that uber clean look of a new property. Beds were comfy and nice pillows which is a big deal for me. Love that there are a few spices, garbage bags, dish soap etc. Those things add up when you have to provide them at a property. On border of Texas A&M. Easy drive and Veo bike boundary comes up to the edge of the property. Neigborhood is a mix of older and new, smaller properties up to a new high rise condo going up 2 blocls away. Furnishings are basic but comfortable and I was pleased with my stay. Greg was a responsive owner.

Publié le 18 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayI stayed at this property for an A&M parent weekend. It is close to Northgate but not in a safe area. I felt very nervous and unsafe staying there by myself. I had personal items, including cash, stolen from the property while I was not home. There was no apparent breakin which leads me to believe it was someone with a key. I contacted the owner right away. He basically said there was no proof and he was not responsible. Unfortunately there are no cameras on the property. I contacted VRBO and filed a report. VRBO said to make a police report, which I did. VRBO said a specialist team would be contacting me. I contacted VRBO two more times after that and was never contacted back by them. I am very disappointed in the way the property owner and VRBO handled this situation. Basically there was no resolution. I am writing this review so potential guests know they could find themselves in the same situation.

Rustic quiet place

The property manger was wonderful in as quick to respond and told us about many places that we could visit that were kid friendly. We really appreciated that. The only thing was that it was kind of hot and the AC was not working. We reached out to the property manager who quickly responded but the problem was not solved. But we managed. It’s a great little area with many eateries. The property has a rustic look and if you do not mind the rustic look, it is perfect for the price. If you want, peace and quiet, this is the place. You don’t even realize that you have neighbors.
