When I arrived, I had to visit the front desk several times. The telphone was not connected so thus I had to go down to the front desk. There were no instructions as to the WiFi code nor how to work the TV. When I checked out, there had no record of my Travelocity payment so they wanted to charge me the full room rate. There was no free breakfast since ther person responsible did not show up. I will never stay at the Hampton Inn Carbondale again. Totally unacceptable customer service.

The Hampton is going through a renovation. The physical aspects are good; the people are trying and very friendly. But the communications are not good at all. The telephone was sitting alone and not connected. The wi fi would not connect. The TV instructions were non existent. After 3 visits to the front desk, my issues were resolved.

Parking not adequate need more handicap spaces..had a handicap room on 2nd floor had only handrail in slanted sides of tub Need hi rise toilet and handicap rails by toilet And walk in shower .non smoking room smelled musty no security door main floor missing locks not a seured facility. Will not be staying here again no ice machines working on 2nd and 3 rd floor

They did not make the bed once and i was there for 3 nights - i had to ask for clean towels the second day - i had one counter person who was fantastic and went out of her way to try to help me figure my plane reservations she was lovely unfortunately i dd not grt her name but she had long braids snd im guessing she was lste 40s.

This Hampton is undergoing renovations. Pool and spa were not available. Rooms were damp feeling. Entry to the hotel was difficult. Food was average. This is the first Hampton that we have been disappointed in. Would not stay here again.

The evening we stayed here was move in weekend for SIU and we had moved our son into his apartment. We chose this location for its price and amenities. It was very unfortunate that management chose to shut down the pool and hot tub for routine maintenance this weekend and we could not enjoy the pool or the spa on the hottest day of the year. Seems a little suspect or just bad timing. I don’t believe I will stay here on any future visits.

The bed was comfortable, there was a choice of pillows. The bathroom was clean. It did lack a hairdryer (which I reported to the front desk upon checkout. The breakfast was outstanding! I complimented the cook.

We stayed there last night. The room smelled like old socks, the bed was too soft, the pillows were awful and the shower had no power whatsoever. My husband stayed at a Hampton last weekend in Springfield, MO that was perfect in all these ways. Since we rarely go to Carbondale, we won't choose this again.

Room type reserved wasn’t available when checking in at 5:00 pm. Gave us different room type and said it would be cheaper but found after looking at receipt when getting him, rate was still the same. Breakfast was not the greatest. Several people in our group had issues with their rooms, not cleaned when they checked in, used adult diaper in room, etc.
