Felt like a princess !
Publié le 30 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe drive up the lane way and seeing the Welsh Gate House was beautiful! We climbed the spiral staircase to one of the best stays we have ever had. It was very romantic and the host went above and beyond with special touches. A very memorable stay and we look forward to returning one day.

A personal castle
Publié le 10 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayTastefully and thoughtfully restored with all comforts, and our own personal turret to admire the views. The warning about the steep spiral staircase and the ladder to the sleeping loft were not an exaggeration so not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. However, since my husband wanted to reenact the castle scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, he braved the staircase!

Thanks for your lovely comments. We are so proud of the Welsh Gatehouse, and it is such a unique and historic property. I love thinking of the generations who have gone up and down those stone spiral stairs in the last 700 years!
