Great stay....
Publié le 15 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayJust returned home from 21 Silverdale, South Lakeside and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge is lovely, everything you need and brilliantly situated near the main reception, dining area/bar and gym. This is a real plus as my friend and I both have dissabilities and walking great distances can be very trying so having everything close by is a must. The only thing for anyone in a similar situation to consider is the 3 steps to get into the lodge but take your time and not a problem, bannisters very supportive. Bathroom brilliantly laid out as is the whole lodge so anyone with walking limitations do not be put off.
Denise, the host was brilliant and very helpful, nothing too much trouble and to be met on arrival was a nice touch, never had that before and basic supplies left, well a little more than basic to be honest a great touch.
Overall a great week and we will def be returning.........

Sharon and her guest and doggy were brilliant guests. They are very friendly people and communication was excellent.
They looked after the lodge really well and I really appreciated how clean and tidy it was when they left. I would definitely recommend Sharon to any future hosts and hope she comes to stay again.

Perfect escape from every day life
Publié le 14 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe host, Denise, was lovely, so welcoming and helpful. The lodge was very clean and well laid out. There were a few items provided to get us started, milk, orange juice, coffee, tea, biscuits, condiments, that sort of thing. All linen was provided, also toilet rolls, soap and shampoo. We had taken some of these things with us but it is well stocked if you arrive without anything. Was also pleasantly surprised to find 'Alexa' was there too. There was a very useful manual provided by Denise. The whole experience was perfect and we would give a 10 out of 10. If we visit the area again in the future we would certainly hope to book again. The only niggle we have, and it is a tiny one, only mentioning this because the host has asked what they could improve, is that whilst the bed was very comfortable as was the bedding provided, it would have been nice to have had a King size bed. Over all a perfect stay in a perfect lodge. Thank you so much. To anyone considering a stay here, I urge you, just go ahead and book, you won't be disappointed.

Comfortable beds and lounge.

Pat , her husband and 2 lovely dogs stayed for a few days at the lodge. Communication was excellent and the lodge was left extremely clean and tidy. I would welcome them back anytime.

A great base.
Publié le 3 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayDenise was a great host. Very communicative from start to finish. We were met at the lodge and showed around. We were very surprised at how well stocked the cupboards were, probably the best we have seen, there was everything you needed. There were a few games and books for you to use too. The lodge was a good base to explore the area, there are some beautiful places to visit. The Ingleton waterfall trail is a must!! We had 2 ducks and a swan visit us at the lodge, and we saw rabbits very close by. It was lovely and quiet too.
Our only gripe were the beds, we all found them incredibly uncomfortable, and it really affected our sleep, which was such a shame. They were very firm, but a memory foam topper on them would really help. Thanks for your understanding with the change of dates Denise 😊

Excellent stay

Really felt like a home from home, was spotless and the owners had gone the extra mile in leaving little added extras like milk, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, sauces, all cleaning products, dvds, boardgames and lots of other items! I would highly recommend this property! Thanks so much to Denise, the owner for such a lovely stay, we’ll defo be back! X

Shsron and her family were lovely. They stayed for 3 nights at the lodge and looked after it extremely well. Everything was keft very clean and tidy snd I would welcome them back anytime.

Fantastic stay

We enjoyed our stay at her lodge and she even sent us through some recommendations of walks for us to do with the dogs and even somewhere to go out for a meal. We will be booking again when we are next in the area! Again thank you Denise.

Absolutely perfect
Publié le 18 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe loved the lodge so much. We were three adults and one baby aged 5 months. Denise is a fantastic host and provided everything you could possibly need. She even got us a highchair for my daugther and a beach towel and a toy which she loved so much.
The lodge is beautiful and has absolutely everything. It's very clean and quiet. I could have easily stayed another few weeks if I could but I'm sure we'll be back. The location is also fantastic. You are so close to the Lakes and the Dales but the local area is also beautiful so definitely worth exploring.

Great place to stay
Publié le 20 mars 2020 sur HomeAwayThe lodge is perfect, beautifully furnished, well equipped and in a lovely setting. Denise is a wonderful host and provided everything you need plus some lovely extra touches to make our stay as comfotable as possible. The onsite bar restaurant was also a great place to go and socialise (at a distance as we have to do now) with friendly staff, it felt just like your local pub.
We will definitely be going back, it is only just over an hour away to get some really well earned peace and quiet for us. thank you Denise.
