Jeff Suite 204: Mall-facing! Each room is individually furnished with a distinct personality. Think effortless cool, creamy suede, and desert colors with pops of quirky humor. To ensure privacy and true getaway vibes, The Jeff was designed to be entirely self-service (no front desk or need for check-in). Upon booking, you will receive a unique code that gives you access to your room.

The Jeff Hotel Suites feature a luxurious, custom-made king bed - perfect to settle down in after a hard day's rockin', two flat screen TVs, and a seating area with an additional sofa bed and large windows overlooking the Downtown Mall. A Marshall amp speaker is provided to kick back and enjoy your favorite tunes. Each room is equipped with a wet bar, mini-fridge, Nespresso machine. Our spacious en-suite bathrooms boast high ceilings, skylights, and walk-in showers.

Being on a pedestrian mall the hotel has no on-site parking, but we think that having C'ville's most popular bars, restaurants and music venues mere steps away is a great trade-off!

Hidden Gem

Our stay was amazing. Everything was considered in this boutique hotel. The design details are stunning, the bed and furnishings were super comfortable, and the location is second to none. We also were staying on a night that a sold out concert was going on in the Jefferson below. You had to really tune your ears to even catch a hint of noise. We will stay here every time we come to the area going forward.

This boutique hotel room was conveniently located to all your dining, entertainment and shopping needs in downtown Charlottesville. The check in & check out process was simple and easily navigated. The room itself was well decorated, stocked up and clean. We had a great time and will be back to stay at this hotel next time we are in Charlottesville!

Beautiful house and location

We had a great time at this house. The location is perfect and so close to the beach. We have younger kids and the waves were fun but not too aggressive. We got to see an evening sea turtle hatch and the beachcombing for sea biscuits and shark teeth was perfect. The pool was fun and the marsh behind the house was peaceful with so many birds to see.

Not my favorite

First the good points- the property was very clean and the bathroom was huge and modern. The electronic access worked well. Now the downsides: The communication with the property managers is terrible. We sent 2 emails and never got a response. I called on a Sunday and got a voicemail with connection for lockouts or emergencies only. The concern was parking. Turns out the parking garage has a voucher for ONE exit only. If you are there multiple days or are going out to explore, you will need to pay every time (except once). There’s also the 2 block walk with your baggage and the hike up the stairs. I expected that but it is still a minor downside. The king sized bed (suite 204) was super soft. I thought it would be great on the first night (out of 3) after a day of hiking, but it quickly was too soft. By night 3, it was giving us a backache from lack of support. There was a mini fridge, but no freezer compartment for ice. There was a coffee maker and microwave with some coffee mugs and glasses but no other dishes. Cutlery was cheap bamboo recyclables. There were no paper towels or napkins. This is where it felt much more like a junior suite in a hotel than a VRBO apartment. Additionally, there was no real dresser or storage space to unpack. The apartment is large but wasted space. It was hard to find areas even to set things down. Even the enormous bathroom had very little sink space and no shelving for your toiletries. Thermostat didn’t seem to work well. We had it set to 68 (in March) but the place was super warm at 74. We finally had to put the AC on to cool it off. Crazy. We couldn’t get a consistent temperature. While the location on the walking mall was nice, it also hindered the ability to drive up or Uber drop offs. There was less to do on the mall than I expected. Other neighborhoods seemed more charming. I wouldn’t stay here again. Next time I’d get a VRBO house or apartment in the Belmont neighborhood or near the UVA campus.

Wonderful Location

We enjoyed our stay. Was close in proximity to wonderful restaurants, parking was a short walk from the property and was a short drive to major attractions such as Monticello, the UVA campus and other restaurants. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wishes to enjoy Charlottesville.

Perfect location

The location is fantastic right in the middle of things. Parking is a block away so if you have a lot of luggage this may be an issue. There are also narrow stairs to get to the apartment. The apartment was fantastic, great view, comfortable bed, great shower. Everything was clean and inviting. The Nespresso coffee maker was a plus. Only negative is the apartment needs a place for luggage - a shelf or foldout for our closets. Had plenty of hanging space but no shelf. Highly recommended dn the host is quick to respond.

Nice but no housekeeping

Hi, we finally got away after 6 months at home - took 3 days to check out Charlottesville. This boutique hotel was very easy to book, access and a good location for walking around downtown Charlottesville and UVA. We have just a few suggestions - the rug in the living area needs to be cleaned or removed. It’s beautiful but clearly soiled. They told us there would be housekeeping each day at 11 AM. The first morning someone left us clean towels but that is all that was done - and it doesn’t appear they came back the second or third day. Last comment - from my husband - they should have tissues. The bed was wonderful, the shower and bathroom were wonderful. Very nice location and unit - just for the price we thought that if you tell me there is housekeeping - then please do it. We would stay there again.
