I don’t recommend it.

The hotel is quite well located at 15 minutes drive from the Loop and the parking under the hotel is a real plus. The rooms could be ok but first of all, after the 1st night my room was not cleaned. Of course the receptionist kindly gave me clean towels but I'm still waiting for an apology from the management. But the worst thing in this room is the state of the carpet : not dirty... very dirty !!! And what about the pseudo "breakfast": coffee, muffins, apples and that's ALL. Not even a fruit juice or a piece of bread !!! Unworthy of a Best Western Plus... more like a Best Western Minus Minus. I don’t recommend it.

The only problem I had was that the charging station didn’t work and the front desk person couldn’t help me.

I reserved the Lakeview, but when I got there they told me that that was a more expensive room. I showed them my reservation and they just kept repeating that it was a more expensive room so I did not get the reserved. The TV would not work and unbeknownst to us the refrigerator and freezer were broken so when we put our ice cream in the freezer which felt cold the next morning it was melted all over the floor. I did complain and they told me that they could give me $15 off my rate even though the loss of food between freezer and refrigerator amounted to almost $60. There was no food guide or local suggestions in the room. I had to call down to the office and go get it to get food. The phone in the room was broken so you had to hold the phone cord a certain way for the handset to work. The room was clean and was worth the money especially if it had been the Lakeview. I would probably stay there again honestly except that I felt no one wanted to help.

Walkable to Hyde Park Community Arts bldg with its changing displays and coffee shop--and to Whole Foods; very short drive to Court Theater and museums. Great views of Lake Michigan and Chicago skyline. Keeps changing hands but stable right now.

The property includes free parking, which is hard to come by in the city. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast didn't have much of a variety, but it was good. Our last stay at a Best Western Premier; this one was a Best Western Plus. The difference is quite stark in asthetic quality. This location didn't have any restaurants or places of interest nearby.
