Cozy Home Sweet Homewood.
Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Cozy and Charming brick ranch nested on a quiet street. Minutes from the metra line taking you to downtown Chicago or visit the neighborhood shopping in downtown Homewood.
No smoking and no parties. We are unable to accommodate a party of any size because of our agreement with our neighbors. Driveway is narrow. No extra guest without notice.
Extremely strict neighbors! We follow all cancellation rules.
This 2-bedroom bungalow style house could not have been more comfy! It was everything we needed- full kitchen, washer dryer, comfortable bed. Pretty back yard, too, but we didnât make use of it. The living room is spacious and invitingâI think my hubby sat there all day while I went to a conference in Frankfort.
My stay was absolutely marvelous, very clean and very comfortable, and convenient to alot of great eating places. It was very well worth, Thank you for allowing us to stay there ,and weâll stay again whenever we have another convention in your great town
This place was absolutely perfect for my family. Me my wife and my 2 boys ages 3 and 7, this was an absolutely perfect find. The home was clean and in a peaceful area. With only a quick 15 minute drive to Chicago. Check in process was extremely easy and the home was exactly what we expected. Would definitely stay again 5 Stars
The house was in a quiet charming neighborhood. The location was superb. Not in the city but not that far. Train available. Recommend don't drive into the city take the train. Good experience.
For the most part this was a great place to stay. If you want to be in the south suburbs this is ideal for getting to other places in other burbs or to the city. Our only caveat would be it should be emphasized that this is a much better property for two rather than four people. We had our adult children with us. Only one bathroom is just inconvenient- not a deal breaker. But having literally no place for four people to share a meal was very annoying unless you eat out every meal.
This was a small older home in an established neighborhood. The homes next to the property were in good condition, the homes opposite the property were slightly run down. The property itself was nicely updated. The kitchen had new countertops and appliances and the bathroom had a new sink. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was in good repair and comfortable. It was a good price and well worth it. The only observation which gave me pause was the water heater and heat source were exposed in the utility room off the kitchen. It did not have a door. The mechanicals were in good working order, but if I had small children I would not stay here. I would be nervous of them touching the equipment, etc. as there is no way to close it off from the main living areas. The property owners should consider a door or at least a baby gate.
We were in Homewood for a wedding and this was a perfect location. Besides its proximity to the wedding venue, we walked to the train station for a day in the city.
The house is exactly as listed. It was very clean, organized and comfortable. Everything we needed was supplied. My husband especially liked the TVs. đ
Since we were there on Halloween, we had the added bonus of seeing a truly family-oriented neighborhood in action. Lots of happy trick-or-treaters showed up accompanied by lots of adults. Reminded us of our childhood experiences in quiet, family neighborhoods growing up.
We definitely would recommend the Spruce House, especially if you have small pets.
My mom and I live in Huntsville Alabama and came to visit family and friends in the area and the Homewood house was the perfect location to stay. I miss home so much. It was very comfortable and cute. I will definitely make reservations for next year. Forget staying in a hotel. đđ
We stayed for a week and took the Metra into Chicago as well as drove in some days to sightsee. Homewood is a nice quiet neighbourhood with convenient shops for groceries, gas, restaurants. The house was comfortable, clean and suited us quite well. We had an early morning crisis which Rob responded to with a quick rescue. Thank you for the great accommodations!
Great place for an anniversary weekend with my husband!
The communication with the owner, Rob was great from the day back in December when I booked the property as part of a Christmas gift for my husband. I got us tickets to the Sammy Hagar/Loverboy concert at Credit Union 1 Amphitheater in nearby Tinley park. This was our 30th anniversary weekend celebration. Rob was wonderful with the communications and assured me that the amphitheater was easy to get to from the house. Upon arrival, there was champagne bottle and two wine glasses waiting for us. The bed was comfy and it was easy for us to get to downtown Chicago via the nearby rail station. Easy drive to the amphitheater too. We enjoyed our stay and will book it again should we ever attend another concert in Tinley park. Thank you Rob for making our anniversary weekend special with the wonderful accommodations!
Our stay in the Cozy Home Sweet Homewood house was very pleasant. The house was clean & comfortable. And communicating with the host was easy & he responded right away to my messages. I would totally recommend staying at this house!
