Fine but not great

The hotel definitely had some years on it, but was generally clean. Best part is the location on the way into Chicago. It's not a hotel I'd try to visit again but not one I'd go out of my way to avoid either. Very typical experience for an off the interstate hotel with the road noise; Air conditioner couldn't compete with the outside humidity leaving a dampness to the air; and hair drier looked like it may have been on fire at some point. A replacement had an oily substance on it. None of which are deal breakers, but not a place to plan around.

The staff was exceptional. Incredibly kind and accommodating and eager to please- so I don’t want the review to be a reflection of them! But this facility needs a lot of maintenance and upgrades. The room was old, the elevators were concerning, and the whole facility had that “old” smell. The pool was not closed, but was so dirty that you couldn’t see the bottom even in the 3 ft section. The hotel is also directly on the highway- so there is a lot of highway noise.
