Step inside and discover a hotel-like atmosphere where every detail has been

thoughtfully considered. The bedrooms feature a range of sleeping options,

including a luxurious King bed, a cozy Queen bed, and two Twin beds, all

adorned with premium bedding for a restful night's sleep. Each bedroom is

equipped with a 4K Ultra high def smart TV, allowing you to enjoy your

favorite shows and movies from the comfort of your bed or the plush chaise

lounge. There is a yoga mat available to use.



One of the highlights of this home is its picturesque yard, which backs up to

the stunning James Woodworth Prairie. Spanning over 5 acres (2 hectares) of

original tallgrass prairie owned by the University of Illinois, this natural

# **Simple Considerations when enjoying the house:**



**PARKING** : Parking is available in the off street driveway. 2-3 cars will

easily fit. The garage may be requested in the winter months and will

accommodate 2 vehicles. Accommodations shorter than 7 days, driveway parking

only. Garage upon request for stays in excess of 8 days.



**TRASH** : The trash receptacle and recycling bin are located off the

driveway adjacent to the garage. Do not leave the trash outside unless you

want to deal with a racoon or two. We do not recommend it.



**GAS** **GRILL:** We have a gas grill and cooking station outside for you to

use at your convenience. The grill has a propane tank and tank refill

exchanges are available at the local gas station. Please make sure that you

turn the gas grill burners and propane tank off when finished. Grill

accessories are available within or on the grill cart.



**OUTDOOR FURNITURE & CUSHIONS: **The cushions are in a container outside.

Please feel free to use them if you want to use the outside furniture. Please

return them into the bin when done. If the cushions got wet due to rain.

Please leave them outside the bin and they will be dried by the cleaning crew.



**FIREPLACE:** Firewood is available at the house. Please make sure that you

follow the simple some basic instructions if you use the fireplace in the

house.



1\. OPEN THE FLUME BEFORE STARTING THE FIRE. LABELS ARE INCLUDED TO HELP YOU

KNOW WHEN THE FLUME IS OPEN. THE LEVER SHOULD BE PULLED RIGHT UNTIL IT CLICKS.



2\. USE SMALL WOOD AND A FIRE STARTER TO START. ADD LARGER PIECES AS THE FIRE

BURNS.



3\. KEEP THE WIRE SCREEN CLOSED AND THE EXTERIOR SCREEN IN FRONT OF THE FIRE.

IT WILL KEEP THE SPARKS FROM HITTING THE FLOOR. THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER IS NEXT

TO THE STOVE IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY.



4\. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO SLEEP OR LEAVE THE HOUSE UNTIL THE FIRE IS OUT



**AIR CONDITIONER AND HEATER:** We have central air and heat. Please feel free

to change the temperature for comfort. We only ask that you adjust the

thermostat from HOLD when you are not in the house. The thermostat has an

automated sensor that runs off the furnace/AC when the home is

vacant.IMPORTANT**:** If any problems arise during your stay that would make

your stay more comfortable. Please contact Red Awning . We’ll try to figure

out a solution before you leave.



# **CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS:**



Kitchen:



Upon departing our home at the end of your visit, please make sure to dispose

of any trash that might be smelly, place all the dishes in the sink or

dishwasher. Do not start the dishwasher, the cleaning crew will take care of

it.



Bedrooms & Family Room:



Please leave all beds that were used unmade, and make sure the fireplace doors

are closed, turn lights off throughout the house, make sure that all the doors

are locked. The front door is locked by pushing lock key at the bottom of the

circular lock. You may need to pull the door towards you to ensure the

deadbolt cylinder travels into the door frame and press the lock button

several times.

please respect our property so that we can deliver the same quality experience

for every guest that comes through our doors and respect the privacy of our

neighbors by keeping outside noise low after 10pm. With everyone’s help, we

It was a great experience easy access to shopping and restaurants. Very nice interior and worked great for our group of 6. A nice quiet street with plenty of parking for our three vehicles. If in the area again I would rent this spot again if available.

Great Property - However 2 overlooked items.

I want to start with the property overall and communication from the property manager was great. However, there are two big reasons for my low overall score. 1. The kitchen was not cleaned when we arrived. There was unwrapped meat and a full fridge of food. Completely full - not just left over beer and condiments. There was also a dirty pan that had been left in the oven with also unknown meat as well. 2. After leaving for a few hours we came home to find that every door except for the one with the lock on it, and the windows were all unlocked. It was very hard to sleep after this was discovered.

House wasn’t cleaned from previous guest upon arrival

We arrived at 9pm to find the house filthy, dirty towels piled on the bathroom floor, sink full of old food, garbage disposal not working so we couldn’t use the dishwasher. There was NO TOLIET PAPER! The master bedroom had no bedding and there was none available to make the bed. After contacting the manager, he sent a cleaning person who arrived at 10:15 pm and only cleaned the bathroom and master bedroom. She was able to retrieve bedding and toilet paper from a locked closet. It was too late to do more as we were tired from a 9 hour drive and had our dog. She left at 11:15. It was difficult to get in because you had to hit the first number of the code 3 times to get started, no one told us about this. I spoke to the manager about the garbage disposal and he had me take pictures of the button next to the sink and underneath the sink. I had already checked everything and told him it’s NOT working. Needless to say, it never got fixed and I just washed dishes by hand, you can’t use the dishwasher if the disposal isn’t working. All the old food comes up into the sink. There was also bedding stuffed in the washer and dryer upon our arrival, both still wet so we had to deal with that. No detergent left for us. The kitchen wasn’t stocked in the way of spices, basically anything and the refrigerator wasn’t clean. Most places will have a few snacks for guests and have basic spices, maybe some olive oil, etc. I expect to find dog hair in a dog friendly place, but nothing was vacuumed.

Nice place to stay

The house is on a quiet, family-friendly street
close to Golf/Milwaukee. Updated kitchen and bathroom and nice bedrooms. My kids and I enjoyed our stay! I wasn’t a super fan of the digital keypad entry
we had some challenges with locking/unlocking the house, but we were able to figure it out.
