This was by far THE most disappointing hotel stay I have ever experienced. I paid over $500 for a room with “a lake view” (pics below of my two inch view of the lake. Room was described as being spacious with floor to ceiling windows (pics included on windows definitely NOT floor to ceiling). I asked for wine glasses and fresh ice to be in the room upon check-in. As we were bringing our own wine. We checked in at 5pm, no ice. The A/C was not functioning properly either. Maintenance came up twice, and ended up supplying us with box fans. We ordered room service in the morning. Half the breakfast was missing upon delivery. The food that was delivered included biscuits that were hard as a rock (More like giant croutons), hard boiled eggs instead of soft poached eggs. When we called about the breakfast being wrong and only half delivered, they did comp us. However, by this time that hotel had very little going for it and we were no longer impressed. $500 later the worst, most expensive hotel experience ever is now behind us. Lesson learned.

Our room wasn’t ready by 6:30pm when check in is at 4pm. They couldn’t tell us when it would be ready, just that it hadn’t been cleaned yet. The rooms have seen better days. Paint peeling, the refrigerator was falling apart. It was fine for one night but we wouldn’t go back.

We took our family on a 4 day trip to Chicago. We wanted a place centralized and close to Navy Pier. The hotels location is great. 15 minute walk to Navy Pier, Millennium Park, 25 minute walk to the Museums (we used uber :)). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice, well kept and cleaned daily. Yes there are nicer hotels in Chicago but if you are looking one with great value and location I would recommend and would stay again.

Escalators were not working for most of the time. Navigating the levels to eat, come and go was very hard. Nobody was at the front desk at night for waters, none in the room either and not even a vending machine kind of stinks but other than that it is a beautiful building, the view is amazing.

I had a pleasant stay. The view was beautiful from my room. I have had an issue with incorrect information given by staff about the hotel deposit. I called to ask when the deposit would be released from my credit card. I was told 5-7 days and that was not true. I had to do further research to find that it was actually a week to two weeks before it would be released. I am still waiting for the balance to come off my credit card statement.
