Positive: The hotel, room was very clean. Parking was convenient. Staff was very good. Negative: The mini fridge did not work, didn't realize til morning. Sunday morning, 6:30 am there was no hot water!

I'm sorry there were any issues with your stay. I haven't had any issues with the mini fridge you are referencing. I will make sure to check into that. We recently replaced our water heater, and it does take a little longer to heat up, I will have the plumber come back and look at it. I hope you will choose to stay with us again and give us the opportunity to improve on your next stay.

The place had expired milk for the cereal. They had limited food to eat place smelled like cigarettes and just over the worst place to stay.

I am sorry you were unhappy with your stay. I was unhappy with the 10 guests you tried to have stay in your room alotted for 5 guests maximum. We have to follow the fire code and make sure all of our guests are safe and protected. I am sorry I had to have your rent a second room to accomdate your guests. I have a job to make sure everyone is safe and accounted for. It was not an issue about availability. Your registered for 4 adult guests. You exceeded that amount by 6 people. We offer a cold breakfast for our registered guests. The milk you are speaking of had an expiration date of 10/1. I changed the milk out at 5am on 10/1 with an expiration date of 10/17/23. I would have had more items available for breakfast, but I had several unregistered guests that ate the food that was available for registered guests. I didn't know I needed to have for guests I didn't know were coming.I had no complaints of cigarette smoke or expired milk by anyone (including you) during the time of your stay. I surely would have addressed these issues you had. I hope in the future you will understand the need to rent multiple rooms when you have so many guests. It's a safety issue and I was doing my job. At our hotel we do not charge for additional guests as long as they do not exceed the fire code limits. As a general manager, I have to know the number of guests in the hotel. If we were to have a fire, and 43 guests are registered here I need to account for 43 people. If you have an additional 6 people in your room, then you are endangering the lives of everyone. If there were true issues with milk and cigarette smoke I would have thought you would have brought it to my attention when you were here. You had no complaints until after you had to rent the additional room. We had a nice conversation at breakfast on Saturday and you didn't mention any issues. I cannot fix things I am not aware of. I'm sorry this visit did not work out for either of us.

Compared with other hotels I've stayed in with similar pricing, an "average" rating for this hotel would be an exaggeration. Getting the flies out of the rooms should be near the top of the list of things needed to be done.

Nice hotel in Clear Lake

Nice hotel in this small town. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Nice pool area, as well. My one complaint is no ice machine. There were only two restaurants open in Clear Lake on a Thursday night - a bar & grill and a pizza place.
