Nice house but…
Publié le 1 août 2023 sur HomeAwayNicely decorated house with many amenities but was not totally clean when we arrived—sandy entryways, sand on mattresses, gum on headboard, dirty clothes in a drawer. Missing some basics like trash receptacles in all rooms. No gas grill. No shade at the pool. Pool table was flaking big pieces of rust.

Great location, beautiful home, needs updating of furniture and a better cleaning service.
Publié le 7 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe had a great time here, close to shops, close to beach, the pool area was wonderful, the house was beautiful but not well cleaned, sadly the last tenants were also not clean as they put all dishes away with food on them! No email or call with instructions on where to check in, door was unlocked when we got there (thank god) as we were late due to traffic and had no idea we should have stopped all the way back in Duck to pick up keys. Also all amenities are also in Duck which is disappointing when my teenage children realized they couldn't walk to the basketball or tennis courts or community pool or playground.

Publié le 14 août 2021 sur HomeAwayThe property cleanliness was okay. There were cobwebs and an abundance of bugs, bugs mostly outside but some in. We had a spider fall on our food at the dining room table during our boil! I don’t know if the bug issue is due to the area but by the last night the kids were over the bugs. I think an exterminator and someone to spray outside would be very beneficial. The prior reviews mentioned that coaches were not good and they were right! Definitely a pet friendly place…we didn’t have our pets along. I’m guessing that’s why the carpets and coaches clearly needed replaced. The location was good but the house is lacking upkeep outside.

Beautiful week in Corolla
Publié le 4 avr. 2021 sur HomeAwayRoomy, lovely house with a view of the ocean in the distance. Very nice walking path and the beach a short walk away. This was a spring break trip with my mid-teenagers so it was very low key. Loved the hot tub! We are being very COVID-safe so did not eat in restaurants but did a lot of take-out and had delicious meals in Corolla and in Duck. The house was a great value. I had one question (I couldn't find the linens, which were in a bin in the carport) and the staff of the rental company was very responsive.

Sofas need replacing in common area however.
They were uncomfortable and cushions are shot.
Pool was so refreshing! Hot tub was nice

Publié le 8 août 2020 sur HomeAwayThe house was nice but did not measure up to our expectations. The house needed major upgrading. The living room furniture was terrible. The rugs were worn and in disrepair. The pool was nice however should have been cleaned during the week. The laundry room was dirty and on the wall was a disgusting mop. No one on their right mind would use it to clean. The beds had no mattress pads on them and especially during Covid should have mattress covers and pillow covers. We had to call twice for the bath towels and beach towels. The pool area was dirty and the back patio was dirty. This house definitely needs attention. Some of the windows were rotting.

Fun Week

Prefer to be a little further north in Corolla where it’s quieter but this house is in walking distance of all the stores which is a nice convenience. Pool at the house is great, one of the bigger pools you’ll find with a rental home in OBX. Absolutely no shade at the pool so the water is 90 degrees. The three bedrooms with bathrooms is a nice feature, and the kitchen is well stocked. Ample deck space and you can see a sliver of the ocean from the main deck. House only has a medium sized charcoal grill. Have been coming to OBX for years and so few houses provide guests with a nice grill. Just don’t get how you have rentals that sleep 16 and you have a modestly sized charcoal grill in the backyard? Don’t know that owners of this or many of the other properties in OBX pay very close attention or invest much in upgrading the properties. After all, there are many comments about the grill in these reviews and yet nothing has been done to upgrade it. For the price they get for the house, owners could splurge $400 on a very nice, large, gas grill! It’s these finer details that would make this place great. But I’m not the first to say it.
