Be prepared for “roughing it” to a degree. No a/c, cold water shower, but magical surroundings in spectacular setting, All meals provided. Happy atmosphere and happy guests there to experience the raw beauty. Monkeys in the trees add something extra to enjoy

Piece of paradise

Beautiful serene place to call home for a few days. We went diving and all of the shipwrecks were amazing. We had one “ hiccup” with the resort but Kat made everything right.

Basic accommodation was basic but setting was fabulous with a great house reef off the beach and very friendly staff. We enjoyed ourselves!

Private paradise. Will be back!!

Amazing experience!! So happy to have found this hotel. Coron City is very crowded and chaotic, this hotel is by itself on its own island about 45 min boat ride from Coron City. So it really is a peaceful, private beach, get away from everything type place. Don’t think you’re going to be bouncing back and forth to night life or shopping in Coron, this is a once your on the island we never left except for all our tours and diving. Bonus is, it’s a dive shop and really close to all the ship wreck dives. Scheduled a private beach hopping tour through the hotel which was amazing, will take you to any beach you want. Had kayaks, paddle board, jet skis available for rent. Nice little bar everyone hangs out at before and after dinner. Meal package is a little pricy for Philippines standards but overall completely worth it. No A/C on the island, cools down at night and had fans in the bungalows, but if you must have A/C find another place. Showers are warm at best, if you need a hot shower, fine another place. But overall it’s a private paradise island with cute little bungalows, beautiful views and more stars than you’ve ever seen!!

Shipwreck Diving the Highlight at Sangat

Posted Sep. 2, 2018 on Hotels
Sangat Dive Resort was a very relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The highlight of the stay was scuba diving on one of the nearby shipwrecks. It’s worth nothing that I ther areas of the Philippines has more colorful coral with more sea life, but the wrecks give Sangat a uniqueness. The additional amenities are not cheap - the dives, drinks and daily food charge all add up really quickly. The service from the staff is outstanding and the resort is set up so it’s really easy to get to know other guests on the island (if you want to meet other people that is). There is no air conditioner, but they do provide small fans which keep the room cool enough to sleep, however the humitidity makes the bed stay damp. Not ideal and not luxurious, but this is a great getaway for those looking to detach from work/stress.

Friendliest staffs.

Posted Jun. 26, 2018 on Expedia
We stayed at Sangat for 4 nights, 3 days. Honestly, it was the longest 4 nights in my life. My kids were miserable with the mosquito bites. TONS of bites. The bug spray we brought didn’t help at all. The tours were expensive although the tour guide Warren was super nice. The food were so so. We saw a rat in our room on our 2nd day. Crazy. But the staffs were nice, accomodating and the friendliest I’ve met. A night or so is enough. With the bugs and no aircon, I woke up at 3 AM on the 3rd day ready to pack up and leave
