Nostalgic 2nd floor cozy, light-filled room at the end of the hall for privacy. - Central heat/air and window unit. Ensuite bath has vintage clawfoot tub. Dead Sea Bath Salts infused with essential oils provided. (For those who prefer a shower there is one nearby down the hall.) Cozy sitting room nearby. Charming common areas to enjoy as well are gracious lobby, banquet room and kitchen (when not in use for special occasions). Courtyard and parking lot in rear of building. Walk to three good restaurants, two boutique shops, the Vintage Texaco and the Cowan Railroad Museum! In house Cafe for special orders. The railroad town of Cowan is the real small town America deal!
The convenient location is close to Sewanee and the University of the South as well as the Caverns music venue in Pelham. Four distilleries, including Jack Daniels are close-by. Hiking opportunities abound between the beautiful Cumberland Plateau and Tims Ford Lake in Winchester. Winchester town square includes the vintage Oldham theater and several restaurants and shops. -So much exploring to do…Falls Mill historic textile Mill in Belvidere is another gem.

Great Stay

Rachel was an excellent host. Loved the ambience of the hotel with its rich history. Our room was very accommodating, comfortable and had very good lighting within. We enjoyed the Saturday night music. Rachel an excellent breakfast also. We took our dog and she was very well received.

Reunion Weekend

My son and I were charmed by Rachel and her 105 year-old Aunt Polly. The inn is warmed by antique furniture and adorned by Rachel's lovely artwork. The location is convenient to Sewanee (albeit requiring the 3 mile winding drive down the mountain) and set in the middle of cute and quaint Cowan. It is worth the visit.

Such a charming property and perfect night.

Rachel and her Aunt were so accomodating and welcoming. The lobby of the inn is so charming and so many little extras on the property such as bath salts, robes, chocolates, coffee bar, fruit, pasteries, and on and on. The Inn being pet friendly is why we were there but it exceeded our expectations. Sheeba and our dog Oakley played and played. We highly recommend this historic inn.

The Caverns Concert

This was the perfect place to stay for our concert trip to The Caverns. The hostess was attuned to our needs and responded quickly to our texts. We could not have asked for better accommodations or expected a more friendly stay. We look forward to experiencing Cowan, TN, again in the near future.
