There is only one Gite at Les Bois Tranquilles.
The Gite is on two levels and comprises the two buildings. The ground level is the living room and kitchen with the bedrooms on the upper level. The games room is underneath the bedroom wing and exclusively for your use. The Gite access and garden, with ample parking are for your private use only.
Enjoy the experience of staying in the 1850's farmhouse, modernised for comfort but with original features intact. Only 5 minutes from Cenac with shops.
The owners (discrete) live at the back of property with their own access. The owners, Brian and Sandra value your privacy but are available to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Experience living in a beautiful 1850's spacious farmhouse set in Parkland with two forests. We have sympathetically restored the old farmhouse keeping the original features while updating for modern comfort.
You can reconnect with nature enjoying the wildlife and nearby river swimming, the Games / Recreation room with pool table, air hockey, mini football and more. Enjoy the large Gite garden for strolls, swings, football and ball games, sunbathing and BBQs. You are 5 minutes from Cenac with shops, 20 minutes from Sarlat and close to the Dordogne Valley tourist sites.
The gite has 3 bedrooms with a total of 4 beds (3 x140cm and 1 x 90cm). A living room with kitchen/dining, and an additional sitting room upstairs, 2 bathrooms, one with separate toilet. The space is very flexible to accommodate your needs, see the gite plan in the photos for more information.
There is plenty of private gite car parking, some of it shaded by a 200 year old oak tree.
Enjoy meals on the main covered terrace and there are two further terraces for relaxing.
Shade can be found under many of the old trees and sun loungers are provided. The gite has 2 BBQs (gas and charcoal).
The Games room is located below the gite and accessed from the courtyard.
There is a water purifying and softening system on site, so there is no need to buy or bring bottled water.

Beautiful Gite, beautiful setting, fantastic facilities and wonderful area.
The Gite is beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. There are all the kitchen and laundry facilities you could want. Upstairs there is also a cosy sitting room. There are two terraces that you can sit out on and enjoy the lovely views, and at night you enjoy the bright stars in the dark skies. There is a barbecue area and a covered outside eating area within easy reach of the kitchen. There is an excellent games room underneath the Gite with a pool table, table tennis, table football and air hockey and a store of jigsaws for a quiet few hours. The setting is lovely, and you can position sun loungers beneath trees for shade, or out in peaceful garden areas for sun bathing. The local area is also beautiful, and there lots of castles and medieval towns to explore, and river activities including canoeing all within a few minutes drive of the property. We had a fabulous two weeks there. The hosts have taken great care and effort and made this an absolutely wonderful place to stay for a holiday, and we could happily have stayed another week with plenty of things to enjoy. We thoroughly recommend this property for a truly relaxing holiday.
