Family Gathering
Publié le 4 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur time spent at the Farm House was wonderful! 14 of us from 12-80 years old all had a bed and a place at the dining room table! Perfect setting inside and out to celebrate my husbands birthday with all our children and grandchildren! We will be returning for future celebrations!

Weekend getaway
Publié le 25 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house had great outdoor space, and we wish it had been warmer to take full advantage. It was close to Middleburg, wineries, and breweries. The beds were very comfortable for our group of eight.

Relaxing stay in a very comfortable and clean home

We used the down stairs pool table and the outdoors fireplace (toasted marshmallows & hotdogs). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and supper. The beds were very comfortable and the multiple bathrooms were appreciated once we came back from our travels. It is centrally located to mulitple vineyards, apple and pumpkin patches, spring water, seversl really nice parks slso. All within 30 miles. I wish we had stayed 3 or 4 nights instead of only 2. The hostess messaged us twice to see if thete was anything that we needed, we lscked for nothing! If your looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway that is well kept, we recommend here.

Recharged in nature

The teens (6 of them!) used all the lawn space for games/lacrosse, and had so much fun on the swing and hammock. We loved the outdoor patio & fireplace (we had an owl visit!) The beds were comfortable and the nighttime train added to the country ambiance. I'd add more wine glasses to the kitchen since the home accommodates large groups in wine country. Also, the home is off the main highway so there is traffic noise but it did not bother us. Thank you for the use of your home. We returned feeling recharged.

Lost in Time
Publié le 10 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayTen family members, three generations, ages ranging from 78 to 9 spent an amazing week at this farmhouse. IT was a jump into the past when families spend time enjoying each other. Not once did the TV come on, no heads in phones and dinners at the family table talking. All kids enjoyed outside times playing games, hiking in the state parks, and even finding a swimming hole. Kids were from Boston and and other urban
areas and remoteness was new to them.
Grandparents enjoyed the basement apartment; spacious house room to be alone when needed. Well equipted. A great place to reconnect.

You won't want to leave - I didn't
Publié le 5 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayI cannot recommend this house enough. Not only is it in a beautiful part of Virginia, but the owner has taken great care to make it a great stay.
The communication was prompt and friendly from first booking to details for check-in and gracious email once we left.
The beds are sooo comfortable and the sheet first class. The water pressure and internet were both top notch (this is often where other owners fall down)
The back patio is the perfect spot for a quiet cup of coffee or a loud group for cocktails.
We celebrated a 90th birthday over four days and all the guests aged between 19-90 all had something to love.
Thanks to this amazing host for making an important time even more special.

Fun weekend in the country
