Midwest getaway

Originally the place was listed to sleep 6, so our family of 5 would fit great, but the owner made a mistake and said the listing was for 4 people and charged an extra fee for our 4 year old—there is ample space for 6 people, but we paid the fee anyway because of location and timing of booking. Roberta was a wonderful communicator, and stuff to do inside and outside for your family. Plus if you like to cook and save money by not eating out on a vacation for every meal, the kitchen was great, it has everything you need! The sound from the highway was a little loud at night, we didn’t realize how close it was to IL-Route 2, but we still slept good!

Nicole expressed her concern of the extra guest fee immediately when she booked our home on 3/4/22. I responded to her on the same day that it was not a mistake. I was sorry that she felt deceived, but gave her the option to cancel. When booking on vrbo, click the details and you can see exactly what all the charges are (extra guest fee, nightly, etc) She did not respond to my email nor did she cancel. I did not hear from her again until June 3. On June 3 (10 days before her check in date), she requested a refund for 3 out of the 7 nights of her booked stay (at the weekly rate), even though it is clear our refund policy is 30 days for full, 14 for 50%. And, our daily rate (like most vrbos) is higher than our weekly rate. I have indicated in our Vrbo listing that our property is next to IL Rte state 2 and that there is road noise when vehicles are passing. Prior to booking our place, please read the details in our listing to ensure that our property is the right one for you. Thank you.

Wonderful Family Getaway
Publié le 27 oct. 2021 sur HomeAwayThis was such a neat place to stay. There were so many fun things for the whole family to do. We love being outdoors and enjoyed the wooded nature surrounding the property. They had many great games to play indoors on the rainy days too! The kitchen was nice, and there were plenty of supplies and extra items to make our stay comfortable. Hosts were very helpful throughout our stay as well!
