Lovely house, but needs air con

The house itself is lovely and the location superb. It's close to great restaurants, amenties and facilities. Fiona the Housekeeper was also great. However, the house suffers from a lack of air con. The heat builds throughout the day, making it really uncomfortable. Nightime was bearable because there was a ceiling fan and stand up fan in each room, but we are generally heat lovers, so I'm not sure how everyone would get on, and we stayed in a cooler month (January), so goodness knows what it's like in the hotter months. We did ask the owners if we could rent air con units during our stay (which we said we would pay for, but they didn't find any and communication was slow). Other than that, we would very highly recommend this place, but we won't be back if there's no air con.

Extended family holiday getaway

We had a 3 generation gathering at the lovely Zandoli, and it was such a treat! The home is truly beautiful—the view from upstairs just doesn’t get old, the outdoor and pool area is impeccable and the landscaping is spectacular. The location was great, easy access to Pigeon Beach and the town, as well as some pretty hiking nearby. The drawback of being so close to town is that we could hear loud music, dogs, etc, as well as cars going by. It wasn’t a bother for the most part except sometimes at night, and a trade off for the location. Beds, bedrooms and baths were all very comfortable and clean. An extra pillow or 2 would be welcome. There were plenty of bath and beach/pool towels, and the laundry room is the nicest I’ve ever seen! The kitchen is abundant with cookware, plates, cups, etc, as well as lots of spices and herbs which is nice not to have to buy! Dinners and breakfasts on the upper porch watching the boats come and go was delightful. Fiona is an absolute gem! So kind and welcoming and helpful. It would have been nice if the per person tax was wrapped into the total cost rather than having to get cash and hand it off with no receipt. This may be new, but it would feel better to just have it included. There is a full-house alarm system. It was nice as it felt safe, but it was a little confusing, especially since we were using the pool house and also had kids with us. We set it off more than once…. Overall we really loved our time and hope to return!

Great villa but needs air conditioning

We absolutely love this amazing villa, it’s incredible and almost perfect. However everyone in our group really struggled to sleep because of the lack of air conditioning. The heat was so bad at night, it was impossible to sleep. As a consequence we would not return. It really killed the trip.

Fabulous villa!!!

Absolutely fabulous villa. So well equipped and furnished beautifully. The views are breathtaking and the outdoor area - pool, outdoor kitchen, seating areas etc are superb. Fiona the housekeeper and the gardener keep the property tiptop. We would definitely return. Walking distance to pigeon beach, the harbour and Nelson’s dockyard.

Amazing location, view & house

We love staying here - the location is fantastically close to the beach; the rooms & bathrooms are all equally well presented; and the pool area is totally 5*. The housekeeper & gardener keep everything looking great & are really helpful.

The most lovely villa in the most lovely place

We stayed for ten nights and wanted it to go on forever. 5 minutes to the beach turn right, 5 minutes to the town turn left. And the villa itself is beautifully designed and maintained. We were made to feel right at home, right away. We’d not been able to get together for two years as a family, we couldn’t have found a better place for our reunion.

Beautiful house & great location

The house is really well equipped. The layout is great, with lots of different areas to sit or lie, so everyone had their own space. The housekeeper is lovely and very helpful.

Beautiful villa in a wonderful location. Could not recommend highly enough

Zandoli is a beautiful villa in the perfect location with the best of all worlds from Pigeon Beach, English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour. Amazing views from the top decking out to sea - the perfect spot for breakfast. Great pool and outside entertaining space. Rochelle was super helpful with any and all questions before we travelled and Fiona was fantastic on site. Would love to post a terrible review so no one booked it and it is free for us to return to whenever we like but it’s a truly lovely spot!
