Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.
Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Best place to stay in Yosemite! Rooms are nice, lots of food options in the Hotel and kids activities, very relaxing and cabin lodge hotel feel, plus Tesla Charging on site for anyone who have EV vehicles. Would recommend!

Our family had a great time staying here with our dog. It was our first time staying at a hotel with our dog and it was so dog friendly. The hotel had very good service and is beautiful. We loved the complimentary hot chocolate, popcorn, and s’mores every night and enjoyed the hiking trails from the hotel. At check in time there are a lot of people flooding the lobby and guest lodge waiting to get into rooms - don’t expect you will necessarily be able to check in early.

Every single employee there was EXTREMELY friendly. They go out of their way to be helpful and check on your satisfaction. The room was nice, it was clean, room service was good. There are many things to do for families on the resort. Indoor pool, play room, ice skating. Now, that said, expect lots of kids. One night at 11pm we had kids running up and down the hallways screaming for 30 minutes, until I went out and yelled at the dad. The other thing is, the food is a 6 out of 10. We went to every restaurant. Their fine dining restaurant, Embers, is just ok. It’s expensive and just ok.
