Looking to ditch the stresses of the city and relax in historic Galena, IL? Rent a private residence that has been recently renovated and where year-round activities are abundant!

Invite your entire family and still have room to spread out in this 4,700 sq. ft home. The main floor has an open plan with cathedral ceilings and expansive windows that allow natural light to illuminate the house year-round. The main floor also includes a generously sized master bedroom with king-sized bed, cathedral ceilings, and full bath with double vanity, as well as two queen-sized bedrooms and second full bath. The upper floor has a bonus loft area and half-bath; a perfect place for kids to hang out. The lower level contains the fourth bedroom with three queen-sized beds, a full bath with double vanity, a bar for entertaining, a game room, and a great room that contains a second living area and a pool/ping pong combo. Enjoy the outdoors and country views from any one of the three spacious deck areas. New bocce ball court and pergola were added in 2020.

This home is centrally located in the Galena Territory Association. Nearby activities include free access to the homeowner’s association (indoor and outdoor swimming), basketball court, weight room, and rec/game room with small arcade, 63 holes of championship golf (including the renowned General course), 1,700 acres of green space, apple picking, 24 miles of hiking trails, boating/kayaking/fishing on Lake Galena and Galena River, tennis, winter skiing, sledding, historic downtown Galena, horseback riding, hot air balloon rides, and zip lining. Or take it easy and visit nearby a nearby winery, distillery, or brewery. Time is precious. Take advantage of this relaxing getaway.

Beautiful Home - Great for Families

Spend a long weekend here with a family of 10; 7 adults, 3 kids. Lots of space and great amenities. Great location in Galena. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

Great house, location and town

Our visit was short, but we had a great time. The property was in great shape and in a great location to the town of Galena. We loved the pool table, ping pong and the younger adults enjoyed the video game consul. The beds were comfortable and as this was the second half of a trip, we appreciated the washer and dryer. I would recommend staying here.

Ladies Getaway!

Ladies weekend on 1.27.2023 -1.29.2023 with a couple of longtime middle school and high school friends! The house was amazing and had all the amenities we could ever dream of! The house was clean, wonderfully located, and beautiful! An added plus was we got 6 inches of beautiful snow! Thank you for a wonderful time and lasting memories!!

This was a very well stocked home with plenty of room for a family vacation. There is everything you need in the kitchen and decent appliances Only comment would be a Keurig or Nespresso would be a good addition as its a ride to get a decent coffee in the morning

Galena getaway

Our family of 7 adults and 1 teenager had a great time at this home—barbecues on the decks, fire pit evenings, association activities, trail walking. Pontoon rental at nearby lake galena marina for a little cruising and fishing on a beautiful day. The home had everything that we could possibly need or want. The galena countryside is spectacular and downtown galena was historic and afforded some fun shopping and eating. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say we all just had a wonderful time. Thank you Eric and Amy !!!

Great Getaway!

The pictures definitely don’t do this house justice! The house is absolutely beautiful and spacious. Our entire group was pleasantly surprised with all the amenities and we all had an amazing time! Our children (5,7,9,12) all had a blast! Eric, the host, was great at communicating and was very pleasant to work with! Can’t wait to book this place again! We would highly recommend to anyone! Great for all ages!!

Perfect Winter Getaway

Great home with plenty of space to spread out! Lots of amenities already included with towels, sheets and eveyrthing you would need in the kitchen. Adjacent to some beautiful trials to explore in the snow and the homeowners clubhouse was a terrific perk. Eric was very responsive. Overall terrific holiday getaway.

Family friendly getaway.

We met kids and grandkids ( 5-7-9) in this central beautiful city of Galena nestled in rolling hills. The house was very comfortable and fun. We played bocci ball, had campfires, played games, swam in the nice pool, enjoyed the city that is easy to navigate and mix history class with nature walks. The house makes it easy to create magic while making normal life happen. We even held a worship service of sorts this AM ( Sunday) in the pergola area… kids loved it.

Great house for families

Stayed here with 5 adults and 1 child. We enjoyed sitting on backyard deck. Loved the view. The upstairs loft is great for kids. Great house for large families. House is well stocked.

Grand Time in Galena

This was the perfect setting for a family getaway. There were 10 of us total and the house handled us comfortably. Plenty to do on the property. The owners had thought of everything. Fire pit. Two grills. Plenty of outdoor activities. Plenty of supply items. Close to the pool and plenty of Galena attractions. Prior to our arrival the owners sent over a pdf with the necessary details for a great experience. Quiet. Comfortable. Clean. Great place.

Galena Paradise

We loved this home!! We were close enough to town but not in the middle of it with all the noise and traffic!! The house was beautiful and Eric & Kim supplied everything……. ( usually we only get a starter roll of paper towels, toilet paper etc….) We had 6 in our party and easily could’ve had more and not been cramped …… Eric responded very quickly to any and all of my questions…… We highly recommend this property…… it’s gorgeous…… and every morning we saw bunnies and deer and it was just so relaxing and serene!!!! If you’re looking for a beautiful home in/near Galena this is the home!!!! We are already thinking of a future trip with friends/family without the grandkids!! Lol Bonnie F

Great getaway spot!

It was a great experience! Very well appointed, it had anything we might have needed. Location was great, nice and quiet to enjoy the outdoors (so happy with the amount of outside chairs!) and easy drive to Galena and surrounding areas. We were all very pleased with this lovely home!

This is a great house! There are a lot of extras included. We had five adults and four children! There’s plenty for everybody to do. Loved the fire pit as well as all the space in the house! All of my questions were answered probably. It was a good experience.

We had a great time at the property. Having access to the community pool was great and it is a short drive to town for all of the trinket shopping. The house is beautiful and the outdoor seating is wonderful. We had a great time and would definitely book again in the future.

Terrific family time in Galena

We stayed here to practice social distancing with our 2 young children for 6 days. It was fantastic! The home is comfortable, open, and the perfect layout. We brought all of our own food and drinks with us. The property itself is great for playing outdoors— we did some sledding (brought our own), made snowmen and had some snowball fights with the kids. There is a cute loft with plenty of space for the kids to play and a very large basement. There were 2 snow/ice storms while we were there and the owners checked in with us and ensured the driveway and walkways were plowed/cleared. A terrific place to stay— definitely would be space for 2 families with kids as well. The owners were responsive and helpful.
