Retirement Celebration
Publié le 9 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe entire group LOVED this home and this home made our celebration for our friend's retirement extra special. The proximity to downtown Galena was closer than we expected. The layout of the home gave everyone enough private space to enjoy a full weekend together. The kitchen was large enough for 7 of us to enjoy a great meal together. The views in the morning and at sundown were spectacular. The evening hot tub ended our stay with special memories. All together the home was 5 star!!!

Mother's day getaway
Publié le 24 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was a good stay overall, however the kitchen counter has/had an ant issue. maybe it's a seasonal thing but...to many ants. The master bedroom had a strong odor. I like the idea of pet friendly, however the less carpet the better. The house itself is in a great location, the deck is really nice, and the hot tub works great. Thanks

Thanks for staying at our home and for leaving a review. The ant issue is a situational one in most homes in our area. Ants appear on a kitchen counter when the sun hits a house after a rain. It's weird, but that's what it is. We have professional pest control, but they cannot do anything about them. We checked the carpet and could not find any odor, but we have it scheduled to be professionally cleaned. Thanks again for staying in our home and for leaving a review.

Perfect Galena stay!
Publié le 11 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved this property! Perfect for an extended weekend getaway with our 3yo and the grandmas. Incredibly clean property with beautiful views and a very well stocked kitchen, which was much appreciated! Enjoyed the fire pit and enjoyed taking our pup on walks on the idyllic roads. Only—very minor—issue was that there were no curtains in the kids room with twin beds, so midday nap was a bit of an improvise to try to block the sun. Otherwise, we enjoyed relaxing on the property and enjoying Galena and surrounding area. Will definitely keep it in mind for future!

Family Get Together
Publié le 2 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayBeautiful home! Everyone really enjoyed the stay. Home was generally clean but deep cleaning of light fixtures, carpets, outdoor grill and vents would be nice. The threshold between the primary bathroom and closet should be repaired since carpet tacks are exposed. The bottom rack of the dishwasher appears to have a missing piece that makes sliding the rack in and out a challenge. I only mention these things since I would want to know as the home owner. Everyone greatly enjoyed the stay. Tracey was very responsive and the home is really lovely - perfect for our large family to get together. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future.
