Sandy Britches Retreat is an open and bright condo in an ideal location within the Pointe West Community in West Galveston, TX. Walking distance to the beach or the main pool at the Beach Club, steps away from one of the many communities' charcoal grills and fire pit, your family will be in the center of this beautiful community.

The unit is professionally decorated and is ideal for families or couples wanting to escape to the beach. Everything is top quality in this island treasure. Complimentary High-Speed WI-FI, stainless steel appliances in the full-size kitchen, Flat screen TVS, and a full-size washer and dryer are all found in this unit. Beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico from the large fully furnished balcony await each guest. The Beach Club which houses the Infiniti Pool, Fitness Center, Restaurant and Bar, a Game Room and Gift Shop is steps away. Gas grills are located at each pool and charcoal grills are located throughout the community for guests to use during their stay.

The Pointe West Community is the best kept secret on Galveston Island. This location is an oasis of comfort and beauty. Located on the westernmost tip of Galveston, the community offers all the amenities for a great relaxing vacation. Only 50 miles from downtown Houston it can be reached easily via I45 or HWY 288. It is close enough to all the islands attractions if desired, but off the beaten track so you can get away from everything. Miles of pristine Gulf Coast beach is at your feet to enjoy.

Check in is after 4 PM and check out by 10:00 AM. If property is ready, you may check in early.

WRISTBAND POLICY
The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children younger than 4 do not pay) for use of the Beach Club and Sunset Pools during your stay at Pointe West. This is a onetime fee during your stay, not a daily fee. No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. A reservation has been made in your name for your rental period at Pointe West. The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception every day during business hours (9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. You do not have to purchase a wristband to enjoy the restaurant/bar at Pointe West. Your reservation will allow you to receive a temporary band to enjoy this business amenity.

THE SUNSET POOL ON THE BAYSIDE OF POINTE WEST IS HEATED FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT YEAR-ROUND. THE BEACH CLUB POOL IS NOT HEATED AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP AN INFINITY POOL WARM. BOTH POOLS HAVE LARGE HOT TUBS FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT.

Our family had a great stay here! It’s close to the beach club and pathway to the beach. The location was great. The host provides plenty of towels! A great bonus for our family of 6. Everything was wonderful! The bunk room was the kid’s favorite and it was nice for them to have their own little space. The office management at Pointe West were nice and easy to work with. The dishwasher may need some maintenance. The pods never seem to release soap during the washing cycle.

Wonderful family vacation!

Spring Break with the kids

We loved our stay. The property was spacious and clean. It had all the amenities that we needed. The proximity to the beach and Beach Club pool was great. You do have to drive to get to the 2nd pool location which really wasn't much of an inconvenience. We didnt mind. My only complaint was that the fitness center, bar and restaurant were closed due to renovation during our stay and this was not disclosed in the listing when we booked. We only found out after booking. We will likely stay again and take advanrage of these perks the next time. Highly recommend this location for a relaxing get away.

Great Location

We got to watch the sunset each morning which was amazing. Great spot and very spacious for a condo. It did smell like mildew so I would bring a candle to be on the safe side!

Family Trip

My family and I spent the week of July 4th here and it is our 2nd year staying in this condo. The owner and property managers were great and took care of a few items that we needed. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. Extra blankets and pillows were available as well as books, puzzles, and games. They even provided a welcome basket with coffee, laundry and dishwasher pods, paper plates, and candy. The view was great from our patio and it was a short walk to the the pool. The only negative was that the elevator broke down on our third day there and wasn't fixed by the time we left. We know that it was being worked on but with it being a holiday week things don't move as fast. We were grateful that we only had one floor to navigate instead of three.

A wonderful stay in Pointe West

We had a great time with family at this point West condo. Everything was in order and the view was spectacular from the large balcony. Never been to point west before, but lots of activities for our six and nine-year-old. We will definitely be back! Thank you.
