Mold and More

Pros: The view is beautiful and proximity to the beach is 5 stars. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and eating in. The location is quiet and further away from the main part of the island. Cons: There’s lots… The bunkbed room smelled like urine. Several missing door knobs. Broken towel racks. Broken TP rack. Mold on the kitchen and master bedroom ceiling in several places. Mold around the top of the patio doors on the main level. Fridge door felt loose like it was about to come off. Broken unusable patio furniture on every level. The grill was completely rusted out and unusable. The patio door curtain looked like it had dried mud or feces on it (not sure which). A fresh coat of paint would go a long way too. The local team texted me after check in to ask about cleanliness. I reported several of the issues listed above with essentially a response of, noted thanks. I suspect the owners are not local because a housekeeper wouldn’t care or be responsible for some of these bigger issues. The pictures make the property look great and I thought I got a great deal. I wish I had paid better attention to the previous reviews when booking. I would have paid more for a better maintained property.

Pick A Different Place To Stay

There’s was vomit on the back porch, poop at the front door. The house was falling apart. The towel rack was barely hanging in the wall and fell out in the middle of the night. The back porch door had a large rusty screw and hinge hanging from it. The middle of the carpet going up the stairs was dark brown/black. The kitchen cabinet was broken. The middle shelf fell on to the bottom shelf. The only thing keeping it up was the cups on the bottom shelf. I called VRBO and Vacasa and neither one helped. VRBO said it was between me and Vacasa even though I booked through VRBO and Vacasa water just rude and didn’t care about any of the safety hazards but wanted to charge me a clean up fee.

Beautiful location, property needs work.

Great beachfront, nice layout. Needs a lot of maintenance. We enjoyed our stay and loved the location of the property it is just In need of several repairs. Nothing that made us want to leave but don't expect everything to be in working order. They did offer us a late checkout due to all the issues.

Great location, house needs some attention.

Excellent location and comfortable house. When we arrived there were zero towels in the house. No hand towels, bath towels, etc. I contacted the property management company and after several phone calls and texts learned that they would not supply towels until the following afternoon. Several door knobs were broken, several pieces of patio furniture were broken, a sink handle was broken and the AC was in bad shape. The location is excellent and the section of the beach was great. Furniture was comfortable and TV worked fine. Kitchen was well stocked with plates and glasses. The garage had plenty of beach toys, which was helpful.

Needs Improvement

This is a nice home in a nice location; however, this property needs maintenance and updating. When we first arrived, we noticed that the AC in the primary bedroom did not work. We promptly let the management company know and after having me go through multiple steps (replace batteries, find the breaker box, etc) they said they would send someone. That never happened. While we were there, the microwave broke. This property is in a nice location and the home has great potential. The owners should invest in maintenance and updating. The property management company did not resolve any of the issues.

Great location but could use some updates

Great location but we had issues with the upstairs ac all week. Spent hours on our first night dealing with property mgrs and finally a tech came out and said he had been there numerous times before. Said the plenum was falling off unit in attic and the repairs previously made are not working. Local property manager was supposed to follow up mid week but never did. House is nice but carpets could use a deep clean and the garage and lower storage areas were really messy. Kitchen could also use some updating - need measuring cups, skillets and could use some organizing. Overall a great stay and may or may not stay here again.

Nice area but house needs issues addressed

I've arrived safely to the house. I have a few issues to make you aware of. 1) There are several ant beds on the driveway. I was unloading my car and didn't notice and got bit. Can someone please come spray? 2) The cleaning team forgot a Ranch Margarita can on the porch. 3) There is no Tea Pot to heat water. Not everyone drinks coffee. 4) The 2nd floor patio door does not seal at the bottom when closed. I sent the above message right after I arrived. No one contacted me. On top of these items. I also discovered cigarette butts by the sitting area on the ground level and the worst is that the master bedroom smells like previous guest were smoking in the room. I slept with the windows open just to air out the room but couldn't get the smell out. No one contacted me regarding any issues.

Vrbo is great. Vacasa was only good for one way communication. Did not respond or make it easy to contact them. Although there was a help desk that was very efficient with answers.

So perfectly Serene

We totally enjoyed relaxing by the gulf at our Serene beach rental. So peaceful and quiet. Will definitely consider a future stay. Thanks for the hospitality.
