Comfortable Stay!!

Very poor service and no follow up.

The hotel was clean and staff was pleasant. I was not impressed with customer service as I was stuck in the elevator for over a half hour. I tried using the emergency phone, but it was completely dead. Due to not having cell service in the steel box, I was only able to communicate to friends staying in the hotel through a messenger app using the hotels wifi. Hotel staff first told my friends that it was broken likely due to some kids playing on it. They came to the door and let us know that maintenance was on the way and would bebthere soon. They arrived roughly 20 min later. After hearing grunting and clinging sounds of screw drivers, the elevator decided to take me and my wife to the 2nd floor where we quickly got off when the doors opened. Ultimately, the issue wasn't fixed and we were lucky that the door opened on its own. Needless to say we used the stairs for the remainder of our stay. What makes this issue even worst is that we recieved our full bill under the door the next morning and received no follow up and no one checked in on us. The next morming I ate breakfast around 7:00am in the lobby waiting to see someone at the front desks to connect about the HUGE inconvenience, but no one was there. I did notice the out of order sign on the elevator that was never fixed. I feel that the hotel could have done MUCH BETTER, and could have made this issue right, but they didnt. Likely the last time Ill stay at any of these hotels.

On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations with our customer service and how we handled the elevator situation. I truly am sorry for what you and your wife endured. Please know that we do have a maintenance program with a large elevator company that services our elevators every month, it is difficult to get them out on a weekend for service which is why the elevator we had the issue with stayed OOO, luckily we have two elevators and the other one was working fine. It was brought to my attention that children staying in the hotel were playing with the elevator which may have caused this issue. Regardless it happened to you and it should not have. I spoke to Laz the agent that was with you the entire time you where stuck in there up to when the maintenance person came and was able to get you out. He did explain that he spoke and apologized about the situation to both you and your wife later that evening. The reason no one came and spoke to you the next morning was because we where short handed and the manager was not able to come in until after 11am. My front desk agents do not have authority to discount rooms. Your satisfaction is important to us as a valued customer, please know that I will reach out to you to discus the matter personally.
