Like Staying in A Story Book!
Publié le 21 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I recently stayed at Gaucho Cabin for a night and it was nothing short of magical! Every detail has been thought of and we had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. I spent time reading in the loft net during a brief afternoon rain shower and it was incredibly relaxing. Later my husband and I walked through the back of the property right onto an amazing hiking trail! We cannot recommend this property enough and cannot wait to be repeat visitors!

Amazing

The level of small details that were present everywhere just made this such a perfect place to go, be quiet and reconnect with nature, even when sitting inside by the fire and staring outside. Would recommend this property 100% and will be staying again.

Perfect getaway

You can tell the owners take a ton of pride in the house as well as the experience you have! The cabin is not only adorable and very well kept but every piece is carefully thought out. The owners do additional add ons to the stay that make the entire experience! If you want an incredible up north experience book this!!!

Peaceful and beautiful!

Perfect experience if you want to be "off the grid", but still close to Grand Marais, and North Shore excursions. Glamping without the tent - loved it!

You won't regret your stay
Publié le 16 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here for 3 nights. The 1st 2 nights we had pretty mild weather and the nights were beautifully clear. They are not kidding when they say you will see more stars than you have in your life. This is one of the best things about this place. I have never seen the world SO dark as when we turned the cabin lights out and stared at the stars. It is fascinating and when you come from a big city, something you may have never seen. And this kind of charm is what you are looking for with this cabin. It does not have the creature comforts yet it is impossibly comfortable. It is exactly what you need. It will slow you down, and bring calm. It's quiet and peaceful and you are literally living in the middle of nature. The beach is a quick walk back down the way you drove and across the road. Walk there even in the winter! The bed is THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in outside my own sleep number! Not having water was very easy to manage and the outhouse is SUPER clean. I really dislike camping so this was a big stretch for me and I LOVED it. We will definitely be back. Also, the hosts are super nice and very responsive. The only feedback I left was that the heater was super noisy and affected our peaceful quiet sleep. Hosts said it would be fixed! You will love this place.

Beautiful escape!
Publié le 5 nov. 2022 sur HomeAwayBeautiful escape in Grand Marais! Would be so fun to rent the other cabin with friends and join for a fire and wilderness escape. The stars are INCREDIBLE. We missed the no running water aspect, it wasn't spelled out clearly which is my own bad for not planning ahead but overall an amazing wilderness escape - they even included such small, thoughtful touches which I absolutely love! Highly recommend :)
