The stuff was great! It was not 4 or 5 star hotel.the jacuzzi was always taken, no matter what time you go. The parking was extremely expensive. The room was big, the bathroom had weird smell. Super close to the beach,but umbrellas always extra $ per day, they’re providing few clocks away for free but not convenient.

Months after booking the day before arrival, we get the email saying they use a vape smoking sensor installed in the room… and on the balconies. Every trigger of it is silent, and it charges US$500 to your room automatically.. we booked the oceanfront room on a high floor. We ended up getting a view of the side street McDonald’s rooftop. I am impressed that I did get my money back on a nonrefundable booking, but that’s as far as it goes with this hotel

Staff not courteous at all. From check-in to pool. Of the 9 days by the pool, I was asked if I wanted to order food or drink ONE day. 4 attendants and everyone helping groups. I get that a single person will spend less money but they deserve the same treatment if they are paying to stay at your hotel. Can’t say the room had any amenities. Everything is an up-charge. Lounge chairs facing away from the sun!!! Expected more.

Thought an ocean view would not be a partial view. The door to the room was difficult to open and was often stuck. The bathroom shower made loud noises, not sure if there is something wrong with the pipes. Overall is was ok and was a little disappointed.

I reserved an "Ocean View" room but was surprised when our room wasn't a direct ocean view and was told by staff that I my expectation was an "Ocean Front" room. That option was not provided on the Expedia website for this hotel. Secondly, the coffee maker did not work on day 1. I requested a new one which never came. When staff texted me asking if everything was ok I told them about it and they had a replacement sent up which, I didn't find out until the morning when I needed that coffee, didn't work properly as well. It shot out an espresso sized watery liquid and I just said to hell with it. Third, the bedding was not up to par. All Marriotts, which I usually stay at, have exceptional bedding even in the most economical rooms. The pillows we had at Alohalani were flat, the comforter was thin. Finally, we had the thermostat down to 60 and it still felt like 70 degrees in the room with all the drapes drawn. That was really disappointing. The only nice thing about this hotel is that Momosan is downstairs, and the hotel staff were friendly. Otherwise I'll be staying at the Marriott from now on.
