Be Careful!

No communication from Host. I stayed there on mid April. Although I wrote her messages before my arrival trying to ensure everything was ok with the property because I’ve read some recent bad reviews , she doesn’t answered. I only had communication when I get in the parking waiting for instructions to get in. However, at that moment she informed me that the property had problems with the water service. After arguing with her why she didn’t answered my messages she hanged off the call. I had to call to VRBO claims service but they said that this kind of issues have to be managed between the owner / host and customer
. One hour after check in time, she provided me with the instructions for the access to the property. The Property is in really bad shape; broken doors on the front of the access to the terrace; dirty windows; no water service available 100% of the time since water pump seems had been broken a long time ago. You can’t count with water until late night or early morning. Location is wonderful; so be aware that you will be paying a really high rate just for it.

We worked with VRBO and got a refund - moved to Rincon at another place. The place we stayed in Rincon was really nice. I dont have any information on this listing since we did not stay here. it does not have a pool - so my ratings are not accurate other than the listing was false advertising with the pool

RUN DOWN NEGLECTED PROPERTY. RIP OFF!

We rented the Rivero villa (top floor, left side) with this management group because we originally though of bringing our pets, which are accepted for an extra fee. When we decided not to bring the dogs, I went ahead and looked for other options since we are only two people, so we only needed a room and a bathroom (a working bathroom) and a clean kitchen. I read a couple of horrible reviews and told my husband I didn’t want to stay there. He said “lets ride it
how bad can it be?” When we got there I just felt we had been ———. I couldn’t believe the condition of the bathrooms, the filthy windows and screens, the gross outdoor table, lamps and the overall decline of the property
.This property has a beautiful view, but its not worth the over $350 they charge daily. When we walked downstairs we saw that some of the house foundations had been reclaimed by the sea
I mean, it could completely collapse during the next hurricane or earthquake
so, yeah, it also represented a safety risk. Since the coast of that area is not a safe swimming beach, we rode the car to a calm beach and took the beach towels ( only two in a house that is supposed to accommodate 6 or 7 people). On the way back we were carrying a lot of stuff to the car and apparently I dropped one of the towels without noticing. The next day we drove all the way to a nice Marshalls in Aguadilla and looked all over for a beach towel similar to that one, but could not find one in the 3 stores we checked. We got a regular beach towel with PR design and paid $11 for it. That night was the only night that I agreed to cook and eat in the house ( it felt gross) and we stained a little bit of the tablecloth with red wine. I thought of treating the stain myself as I have successfully done with my good quality tablecloths for as long as I remember. I looked at the brand and it is a cheap brand sold at Walmart and/or Marshalls
.easy to treat with Oxy Clean
. I moved the plastic placemats they had placed on top of the tablecloth so they could see exactly where the two stains were
. I though they would not DARE charge a single dollar for the small accident and would take into consideration that we encountered difficulty with the toilets and texted immediately upon arrival, thinking we could not stay in a place without working toilets
well, later we found out that they turned the water off since its continuously dripping and water accumulates on the bathroom floor, which can provoke an accident when you go

We would not stay here again.

Fraudulent description: Says pool; there is no pool. THERE IS NO POOL !!! Grandkids very disappointed. No TVs worked. Pots/pans/baking trays dirty. We had to wash all before we used them. Box spring cover on one bed was absolutely filthy. We had to take off before we used. Casters on bottom of master bed missing. We had to put paddle balls paddles under two legs to stabilize the bed. Tho' 3 bedrooms, tiny coffee pot. Had to continually refilll. Took 17 days and multiple emails to get my security deposit back. We put up with it all for a 2 night stay. Great location right on Shack's Beach. Kitchen was stocked well. But me, my wife (we live in PR) and daughter (who's from the states) all agreed we'd never rent the place again.

The condo is terrible. Do NOT use this place. They lied

The pictures do not match the condo. The place is need of full repairs. The doors to patio are broken. No AC in most of the condo. Kitchen is dirty. Most items dont work. Husband got an electric shock turning on the light. Most lights dont work. No hot water ever in the showers. AC leaks all night. Makes a huge sound. The place is run down and dirty. We couldn’t cook. Stove didn’t work.

****HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE***

The Isabela coastline is beautiful BUT THIS RENTAL PROPERTY IS HORRENDOUS. First, as others have noted, we were double booked. Thankfully I saw a review about the double booking and addressed it before we arrived. When we did arrive it was FILTHY. There were roaches everywhere along with broken appliances. The shutters/doors were rusted over and we struggled to open them. The pics were misleading to say the least. Finally after much back and forth, were permitted to move downstairs to the nicer rooms and the power went out! Of course, the generator was non existent and that's when we left. All I can say is use AMEX when you travel as they have your back. STAY AWAY!!

Enjoyed every minute (Needs maintenance)

This is a very nice space that needs lots of maintenance. It is spacious with a beautiful view of the beach. The location is perfect for people that are interested in snorkeling (great reef right in front of the house) and enjoy wind watersports (parasurfing,etc.). The property manager was very responsive to any issue we had. A better guide to the local spots would help.

The site manager called the day before to cancel my stay because they had roaches in the place. They sent me to a different unit not with the same view as the one I picked. I decided to go to the original unit that i chose to rent originally the next morning and they had it rented to other people. I talked to renters. The place is not what it shows in the pics at all and is filty and it needs maintenace. Please do not allow this company to use your name. They are bookong vrbo and the other famous site (rbnb, iwas not allowed to write name)and renting the unit at the same time so they dont loose money if a reservation drops. I had to take my 85 years old mom to a 3rd floor to the new unit with no elevator. This is not what i chose. I would love to have my money back. The 2nd place was dirty as well i had to mop the whole floor and the table was discusting. Not clean.

Great place

Overall my experience was great, but the pictures that were shown in the app was not the reality of the place. The parking in the place is horrible since there is a little space for everyone to park. Is difficult if there are more than 3 cars in the group.

Well advertised yet deceiving

This property is beach front and convinient. Nevertheless, some deceiving details: -deck conditions not even close to what you see in pics -condition of equipment is doubtful. Eg. air conditioner of room 1 was defective since day 1. Someone was sent next day to fix, but still had the hassle of few hours with technicians at the place -the facility does not count with a power plant. During day2 the power was out for 12 hrs and needed to spend whole night in darkness. While this is an issue that is out of their control, PR is a place where power failures are common. If you decide to rent you are indeed taking the risk of not being able to cook or even sleep at night. Admin provided a portable power plant but only supplied power to one apt, very noisy and only handled one fridge. -I rented two weeks ago and have not received the reimbursement $150 deposit -pictures inVRBO seem to be pre-hurricane. Don’t be deceived.

The old "bait and switch " ..so upsetting

Place wasnt ready time of checkin, rented apt that sleeps 8 and was given a place that sleeps 6, no wifi, broken TVs broken toaster, broken microwave, broken dryer, broken dishes, broken lawnchairs, leaking sink, no hot water, showers just trickle cool water, broken bed, and apparently the owner has a broken cell because she never responded until VRBO contacted her after we complained upon which she lied about her whole apartment and availability. Pool is also listed and not there. We checked out early because of the unlivable conditions, still cleaned and took picture on the way out. "Suprise suprise" shes claiming we broke everything and trying to keep our deposit. I'm Puerto Rican and this lady is giving us a bad reputation and ruining families vacations and keeping your money hoping you forget everything after seeing the view (which is nice) but but does not replace beds and broken EVERYTHING and no hot water. Save yourself the grief and good luck to you. P.s all of the reviews of damages you can still see everywhere, they were all accurate.

Well equipped beachfront apartment, the only detail was that we thought because of the pictures that we were renting the corner top apartment.

Worst experience ever

We drove 4 hours to realize that the owner decided to cancel the reservation without any notice. Be aware of this property because a friend had the same situation on the same place.

We had mixed emotions about this house

First the good: The house has a lot of character -- great big wooden shutter doors that you can open all the way to make one whole side of the house open to the beach, spanish tile floors, a nice large dining table. It also sits directly on a wonderful beach that has an area that is calm (perfect for children), snorkeling, and lots of interesting little fish. Isabela is also very convenient to the Aguadilla airport. Now for the reasons we have mixed feelings: There was very little water pressure or hot water (I didn't have a hot shower the entire week), and the water intermittently shut off and the owner didn't do anything to help us with this. At one point we couldn't flush the toilets, which was inconvenient to put it mildly. There are also several leaks in the house. I had a standing puddle in the master bathroom for most of the week; my friends had water dripping down on them in the night; and we had to keep a tub under one of the air conditioners (it accumulated over a gallon of water by the end of the week). I don't expect things to work perfectly when we travel, but I was disappointed that the owner didn't try to help us. I'm still giving it three stars because the location was great and the house has potential.
