Sited on a ridge in the middle of a 50-acre hilltop woods in Jay, NY, this modern Scandinavian cabin has three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows and a minimalist design, the space feels open and airy, offering an immersive connection to nature. Mountain views directly to Whiteface Mountain can be seen from every space in the cabin and from the deck and sauna.

A Luxury Glass Cabin Immersed in Nature

ÖÖD cabins are designed and built in Estonia, featuring 3 full sides of floor-to-ceiling glass walls. This sleek 220 sq ft prefab glass cabin is wrapped in reflective one-way privacy glass, blending into the pines while offering floor-to-ceiling forest views from inside while maintaining complete privacy. The mirrored glass from the exterior blends the tiny home into its surroundings, with the unique design of the ÖÖD mirror house standing out from all other glamping options, offering a true wow factor. Guests enjoy stunning mirror reflections outside and breathtaking views from inside. Our acreage offers complete privacy around the cabin with no other buildings in sight. Our ÖÖD cabin is perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking a romantic escape, digital detox, or eco-luxury getaway in the Adirondacks.

Interior space:

Heated tile floors and oak-paneled walls, fully equipped kitchenette, king bed, full length blinds for room darkening, and walk in shower and bathroom. 180° forest and mountain views, including direct views of Whiteface.

ÖÖD mirror houses are crafted with the highest-quality materials in the industry. The full steel frame and industrial-grade mirror glass ensure unmatched durability. Insulated glass and radiant floor heating keep you warm even on the coldest winter mornings, while the mirrored glass reflects 97% of UV rays, creating a cool, comfortable haven in the hottest desert. With three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows and a minimalist design, the space feels open and airy, offering an immersive connection to nature.

Sauna:

Scandinavian sauna, with forest-facing floor to ceiling glass wall and electric Harvia stove, is located on the deck adjacent to the cabin. It`s available year round, with complimentary use of the $35k sauna included in your booking, and exclusively private to cabin guests.

Note: Photos are composite images taken from actual photos of the property and views and actual photos of other existing ÖÖD cabins used as rentals. Interior furnishings will vary slightly. Final site mirrors this unique aesthetic in a serene, wooded setting with mountain views.

Dogs are permitted (no cats) for a pet fee of $50/dog, with additional related pet rules, which will be sent to you if you have dogs. Pet fee may not be included in displayed pricing — a separate pet fee of $50/dog will apply and is collected by Airbnb if pets are brought. You must disclose pets in your initial booking inquiry, so I can modify your quote to reflect them. Only behaved and trained dogs are permitted on property. Owners are responsible for damage caused by dogs. Dogs are not permitted on furniture/in beds. Please pick up outside after your dog and dispose of. Full pet rules included in house informational and arrival email.

Guests will be given all house access information well before their arrival date. There is a network of private driveways leading to other cabin sites on the property, so please follow the signage to your cabin.

Site development work:

This ÖÖD cabin is part of a larger 7-cabin micro-development in phased buildout, with this cabin being the first. There will be signage guiding guests down the extensive network of private driveways leading off to other cabin sites. All cabin sites including this ÖÖD cabin is entirely secluded and visually private, and while at the cabin, you will see no one. The curved driveway ensures complete visual privacy. Over summer 2026 a private trail network is also planned to be marked throughout the property. You will have private access to the cabin, deck, a luxury $35k USD Scandinavian sauna with full glass walls looking out over the forest canopy, and a small yard and clearing with a firepit and grill.

There may be other ongoing site work elsewhere on the property, as this is a phased buildout of a multi-cabin private development. However, you have woods and mountain views 360 degrees around the cabin area and no construction activity is visible from the cabin. There may be construction noise happening during work hours, that you hear through the woods.

House information, arrival info and rules and policies will be sent to you in a long message shortly after booking (or ask for a copy ahead of booking). The house rules must be shared, read and followed with your entire group. House policies include common sense policies like no smoking in the house or sauna, shoes taken off upon entrance, and strict arrival and departure times.

Dogs are permitted, for an extra pet fee of $20/dog/night, which IS NOT INCLUDED in the Airbnb automated quoting or instant booking quotes. Dog fee is NOT automatically calculated or included in the initial Airbnb inquiry or instant bookings, due to sync limitations with our property management software and property`s own booking platform, so this will need to be added in after you inquire or instant book. No Cats allowed at all! Full pet rules included in house informational and arrival email.
